Sounds like a really good high school 😢 They were smaller than this in 2018 and 2019 and had a cleaner and bigger sound with more intricate parts… This is sad
Imma say it…we can’t keep settling for this mediocre performance in the MEAC you have schools that constantly improve like SCSU and NCCU and Morgan and Norfolk…we gotta do better a master of musical excellence…playing watered down arrangements from Norfolk… then they gave their all in the first song…no other song after mattered trumpets all over the place. The only good section is the dancers and the drumline. DSU need a new band director immediately
It’s crazy how small all the hbcu bands are up north this would never fly down south. I’m glad the people still love it.
Look at the enrollment
We have plenty of public HBCUs with small bands (not to mention the private ones) that sound good as well down south. Look at almost every SIAC school
