- Melodic post-hardcore crew Holding Absence hit The K! Pit in association with Nordic Spirit at Blondies, our favourite East London dive bar.
Their set was filmed without an audience in attendance and within governmental guidelines.

Lucas has such an insane range, control and emotion behind his vocals, not to mention the energy that all this band bring together.
He can't sustain his distortion at all live, but other than that this dude is incredible
Idk how to say this but I only found this band a couple of weeks ago. To be exact actually ab a couple of months ago and I’d only spin birdcage which I loved but when I decided to dive deeper into their music and found wilt I was just amazed. That shit hit hard especially at the end with his range it hit like a truck. I felt everything he said in that song cause I went threw a horrible breakup and wilt portrayed exactly how I felt. Ever since then I knew who my idol was and it’s that crazy dude on the mic Lucas. His vocals inspire me to get into singing since I only play drums and guitar. I wanna be able to be like Lucas and just sing those high notes with that distorted voice he does so amazingly. I just wanna be able to get on stage and sing whatever I feel like now. Thanks Lucas. You’re a fucking madlad
@@lunahateless5204 Sustaining distortion can be really hard, even for the best ones, mostly because when you're in a live set I could imagine it's pretty hard to 100% focus on your diaphgram, and that causes a bit of a looseness of the raspy sound. With that being said, he's definitely a talented vocalist on what he does. Beautiful person too.
@@LT_Hayden They're an awesome band indeed and Wilt is one of their masterpieces, I 100% agree with you and you can make it man, my suggest is to just contact a great vocal coach around your zone, helps a lot!
@@StarMike41 yessir, I do vocals in a metal band. All i do is sustain false chord (and occasionally fry) distortion. I know how hard it is and I know how to overcome it. Jumping around on stage doing legitimate screams is difficult. This guy is talented but he just doesn't quite have it yet, sounds like he's relatively new honestly. Which means he'll get it in ko time
Lucas is easily one of the best vocalists in the genre. I can't wait until this band makes it big!
Please guys... Have them back when they can perform in front of an actual crowd. This set is amazing but I would kill to see that small room of people belting along to Wilt.

They are just incredibly talented, all of them, but man... Lucas vocals are fucking insane! Cant wait for the next album to come out.

Just stumbled across this and these lads are great. What makes them even more appealing than just their talent is their image. They look they should be in 4 different bands but for some strange reason their different looks and styles bring them together to make a wonderful soup.

I got to meet these guys yesterday randomly at my old bar in Portland, OR. They were so fucking nice and put me and my girlfriend on the guest list for their unexpected show which is tomorrow. They were already my favorite band and now they’re some of my favorite people too.
I finally got to see them in person two nights ago 🤘🏻
People always wonder why some vocalists don't move around so much, I understand exactly why some vocalists can't really move around as much as others. To have a sound like that and do to certain techniques all your energy and energy consumption is being focused on just vocals. So jumping around sometimes has to be done at the cost of your vocals sounding different. I don't move around much when im performing only because im screaming and shouting and im so focused on tone, moving different muscles will change my tone. I love this guys vocals though. Such a phenomenal group in general. Im all about the performance but I want my live performances to be equal to if not greater than anything I record. I wanna be the band that gets people surprised and wanting to hear more.
