Thanks for this cover!! I was waiting for an full English cover to listen to. My reaction is to the music video: I love this so much!! As soon as I saw the thumbnail, I scream a bit out of excitement . Yoongi is my bias wrecker. I love how the music video reminds me of Blood, Sweat & Tear, Fake Love, Idol. The glass mirrors, hallways, stage, the many people in the video. There are many parallels to their other music video. Yoongi and his low, raspy voice when he started rapping in English and then in Korean. He facial expressions is cute and strong. Is like his is a Little Roar Roar. An agressive and cute cat. And, then you having him singing like a rockstar. Is like Yoongi the rockstar having a concert. I love the guitar instrumental in the back. It makes me bop my head along with it. I love the animation of the words. Some of them reminds of TXT. It makes me so excited and hype. I love the lyrics so much. I love the symbolism in this. It had the concept of Shadow, hence the name of this song. It talk about how like the brighter the light, the darker the shadow. Is like saying, the more BTS rises to the top, the more they are expose to the media, and sometimes the media would want to harm them, with rumors. I love how there is like a different genre of music in this one song. I love how their is many sides to Yoongi in this. There is: Idol Yoongi and Rapper Yoongi. He rapped smoothly, but also rapped aggressively. He raps and sings. Min Yoongi is just very talented and a music king.
I love your analysis Jennifer!! We thought that the chorus part of this song played homage to their song 'Let me know' which Suga also wrote! It's like they're remembering their past and who they were and now who they've become but not forgetting their journey to the top! They're so good at what they do and we wish them all the happiness in the world because they deserve it!! ❤

YES!!! I've been singing this in English because the translated lyrics line up so well! I'm hyped to see someone actually do the cover in English! This sounds a-ma-zing. Well done!!! My only critique would be that the vocals have a bit too much 'mouth noises' (the sound you make when smacking your lips and tongue). But as someone who is misophonic I am extra sensitive to it. It probably doesn't bother anyone else.
