Strange question, but on your videos, you have a few patches that you’re Velcro, it onto your bags, where do you get those patches? Really like to find some of those similar to what you have and similar
I own this bag in their TNF orange color and I also have that same problem with the back tablet pocket. When I am opening the back pocket the zipper’ll catch or fray the lining and then you have those loose threads like you said. A few gripes I have with it is that back pocket zipper being to close to the lining (might need to be like that for water proofing idk). Another gripe is with the length of the strap, if you’re not a massive guy like me; even I think there is still alot of strap, then you’ll have a lot of excess strap and you’ll notice it when you go to hang it off table ends if you plan to use it with a heroclip like I do, as it sometimes touches the ground and I have to go and put the strap around the bag so it doesn’t touch the floor.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Brandon! And thanks for watching the video! Overall a good bag, but I hope they make a version to point out and address some of these issues
Thx for watching. I found one other issue with this bag as I’ve continued to use it. It lacks a handle - which means you have to grab it from the strap or the compression straps, and I don’t like that. I wish it had a handle at the top or side.
@@ThePerfectBag jup, and that overlaping material on the cord that is poking your chest.. i love this bag, but that is a completely design error. And i recognized, that im not able to open both the front compartments in the sling setup that you have without risking items to fall out. Just switch the zipper to the other side and voila, it would be 10/10! Those two points and the lack of a handle you mentioned makes the bag close to perfection, but absolutely not perfect
Hello there! Don't you have any issues with the on body acess, since the pockets are arranged vertically? And regarding the small pocket in the front on the bottom: it opens towards you so things can fall out easily. If you switch shoulders therefore, you will compromise the acess to the 2nd and 3rd compartment, since then you can not open it all the way down. Am I right? Greetings from Vienna, Janette
Hey there Janette! Great question - if you’re asking about on-body access and pocket arrangement, you’re a true sling bag user. The top pocket (Main), this isn’t an issue, as you can just set the zippers to the right spot and it opens from the right angle. The bottom pocket is indeed inconvenient for on-body access. This isn’t the best bag for on-body ‘swing around’ access (there are better designs) but this does stabilize the tablet better than some of those designs, which have to Velcro the tablet in place to stabilize….so I think it’s still a very usable sling despite the flaws you rightly call out.
@@ThePerfectBag Thank you so much for your kind reply. For sure you are right about the electronic devices- nothing more annoying than having to balance out a loose fit. And thinking about it they should dedicate one vertically accessible compartment to electronic devices and one middle sized to smaller items which can be accessed horizontally:)- for a better on body experience. And using dual zippers for the small lower compartment on the bottom. I think my Metromonger spoiled me too much. I will definetly check out the Tom Toc Compact EDC you suggested. Thank you for sharing. Best wishes, Janette
Some may disagree with me but I've never liked it when sling bags have a centered strap at the top, it makes the bag sit at a weird angle on your back, I would rather the top strap be towards the right or left and the bottom towards the opposite side so the pack can be centered on your back, packs tend to ride better on your back when they are centered.
@Wander EDC 100% agree, a classic sling bag that's like slim at the top and wide at the bottom benefits from a strap in the center, anything squared like this kinda sits better with an offset strap I think.
Thanks for the review. I was really hoping my 13” MB pro would fit but obviously it won’t from your demonstration. I have the TomToc in order in the 9L size which should work. Let me know if there are any other bags similar to this north face size or even small backpacks you’d recommend. Have you gotten your hands on the Incase City Dot? It doesn’t look like the quality is super good
Really small bags that fit a 13”MB pro. Here’s a few thoughts: incase city (not dot), Cotopaxi chasqui sling, bellroy classic, aer city pack. But if you’re really ok going a bit outside of the norm- here’s my recommendation: amzn.to/3WVO4jV
This looks perfect for my Asus Zenbook 14! As I saw it, the Laptop you tried to put in doesn't fit vertically, amirite? And the Zenbook is very short in that regard which makes it perfect for this sling bag. I gotta have it!
@@ThePerfectBag , thanks! I think I meant horizontally 😅 I will, whenever I get. I live in Greenland, so shippings things here sometimes takes a while.
Hi @@ThePerfectBag, I just wanted to let you know that my zenbook fits perfectly in this sling. To everyone out there interested, the latest models of zenbooks are bigger (longer) than my zenbook (2018) which fits perfectly and wouldn't if an inch longer or wider.
Can you help me? I need a sling for airport travel. I travel every month to Lisbon from London for 1/2 nights but don't carry any clothes with me since I have all I need there. I know I want need a pocket on the back to keep passport and card wallet safe. Other than that I just carry my water bottle, small phone mount for the flight, charging cables, kindle, airbuds, phone and I need extra space in case I buy some small snacks at the airport. I am honestly so confused with so much in the market. What do you suggest?

Last one. My favorite sling for travel. It’s so good! www.aersf.com/day-sling-3-max-xpac-black - it’s bigger than it looks and has your back pocket. You can get snacks or a small water bottle in it.
This and the Chasqui review are life savers! Trying to find a sling/messenger bag for all my writing supplies now. Turns out Ipad, journal, pens, book, and water bottle is a weird loadout for most slings sadly.
It’s the water bottle that is tough for slings. Because it needs to stay in place vertically or horizontally. One thing to consider is switching to a flat notebooks shaped water bottle. Check out memo bottle on amazon
I haven't been able to find it lately either. Usually you can find out of stock bags at 2nd tier wholesalers readily in the first year or so after a bag is discontinued, but not this one. If I see it I'll make a community post.
ruclips.net/video/ejmjGlIP0og/видео.html - You should consider this bag too.
Any other bags you would throw as recommendations? Really want TNF bag but unfortunately it is no longer manufactured.

Think the Mac Air M2 13' would fit? Its pretty darn slim
Nope the 11” iPad Pro barely fits
Hi @isaacbazile3260, I have this sling and it can fit my Macbook Pro M1 14" but it's super snug. Can show you pictures if needed.
That surprises me! but I'd go with @fundips experience here!
I just bought the NorthFace basecamp voyager sling and it is much better than this bag imho and fits my MacBook Air 13in with room to spare.
I’m so jealous of the colour, uk only has the black from what I’ve seen.

Can a magazine fit in the very back sleeve?
Depends on the magazine, but I'd say yes no issue there.
I can’t find the black one in stock anymore. Is it discontinued?
I hadn't heard that. Maybe ping them on instagram and ask?
Where can I buy this one today?
No longer produced. I’m selling mine on theperfectbag.us but outside of that you’ll have to import from Japan or find one on second hand market.
