So I own this rack. I have had two Hollywood racks, the last one a Destination E with a ramp. I like the Hollywoods a lot, though they are a bit bit more convoluted in securing a bike as there are several things you need to remember to do. The destination is rated 130 lbs. I just had an opportunity to get the Kuat at a cheaper price at REI as it was a return and friend of mine bought my Hollywood. That being said, I like the quality of the Kuat and the simplicity. The ramp works well, I use an extra strap on the front tire. I take the batteries off my bikes when transporting. The first bike I have is a Juiced Ripcurrent s step thru and I place the arm on the tire under the fender. The bike without the battery weighs around 63lbs. My second bike is a Specialized Como 4.0. It weighs about 55lbs without the battery. I place the arm in front of the fender. Most reviews show people using this rack with bikes without fenders. I get it to work with two bikes with fenders. I have driven 800 miles without any problems.
This is a solid built rack! High price tag but worth every penny. Love it even more after somebody hit me at a stop light while it was in the folded position. Not a scratch to my vehicle and just some scratches on the rack. Stays in 24/7 now.
I just purchased this rack, it comes with the Phat Tire tie down and one accessory to attach to the arm for 20-24” bikes. The ramp is made of steel, it passes the magnet test.
Just go this rack last year for my e-bikes and love it. As far as the front wheel lock, I had my fenders cut back to the fork., allowing to position the support arm further back for a tighter setting.
Using the walk feature on an e-bike is great for ramps. I use a ramp I built to get my bike in and out of my apartment and once I discovered "walk mode", it makes it effortless
I have this rack. With the 2” hitch pin I’m sure you could cheat that weight a little bit just by the quality of the rack. Many racks are just 1 1/4” that I wouldn’t trust. Mine came with the 20”x4” fat tire adapter and the extra strap ( no extra charge )! The rack is also expandable to put 3 or 4 bikes on it. Great rack!!
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!!!!!! I'm def wanting a hitch bike rack so I'll consider this one. I'm also going to watch your other videos because I have NOOOO idea what else is out there! I want to be able to transport 2 lightweight 10speed bikes and a trike bike for our special needs stepsister! 😊
Thanks for the video...I have watched 3 different videos where no one even puts the bike on the rack...its is the same price as putting 2 shitty bike carriers on my roof
Never understood why bike racks are so expensive and can’t hold much weight. My neighbor is a welder and made is own rack out or raw metal. Cost him like $85 and stronger than the hitch. Those companies overthink bike racks. Make it cheap, simple and strong.
Im happy for you. Glad you like it. Not me. I personally checked it out at the store…too cheaply made, a ton of plastic especially in places where metal parts should be..not plastic. Box stated..made in china. That explained the cheapness and plastic…remember, plastic will brittle over time especially when exposed to sun..just saying. And for the price of $750, I chose to go made in usa all metal 1UP…no cheap plastic, solidly made at the same price.
You got me at $795. No number of features make it worth that much IMHO. The Ramp kit, seriously $100, and it's to short for tall trucks like yours. There is no way I could push my 72lb bike up that steep ramp. All in all this thing is a failure in my book.

You are very welcome! hope it was helpful, best of luck in your search.
Have you tried two e-bikes with ramp? I find that the second ebike hits the handle bars if you don’t lean bike in. Very cumbersome and strenuous.
Would love to see more rack reviews from you.
Love your honesty. A lot of features, if I ever get too old.....yup it could happen 😅
A bolt & wing nut on the rack between the two bikes. It has a slot in the ramp already.
Thank you for the review. I need a rack for my ebikes for the spring.

Great informational video. Just bought my rack!

I would buy that in a second ! If I had a use for it but I ride every where I want to go 😀
That price with that weight limit
Great review - thanks man!
My pleasure!

or perhaps this is not designed for your needs? imagine someone with a car and two mountain bikes, works perfectly.
@dojyr3130 exactly. It seems to work great for my 16 lb bike. Might just need a lighter bike instead of a full ass motorcycle.
anyone on here actually put a fat tire ebike on this rack? I haven't been able to successfully get my bike secured on this rack.
big NOPE!!
$795 wouldn’t be bad if a bike came with it!
5:50 exactly the answer I needed for my Super73 R. Thanks!
I gave a thumbs up to support your channel, not for that rack. Price and weight limit, later gator, im out. No need to watch.
