How to Make a Sticky Note Dart (Origami Tutorial)

- In this video, you will learn how to make a paper dart from a sticky note. It's super easy to fold, and all you need is a Post-it Note! I’ve received lots of requests for this design recently, so I decided to put together this quick tutorial. I will also show you how to throw sticky note darts. They can fly pretty quickly, so have fun and be careful!
These sticky note darts (also known as ceiling darts) have become very popular on Tik Tok recently due to videos of people folding and throwing them at the ceiling in school. If thrown correctly, they will actually stick to the ceiling.

My school has super high ceilings so teachers can’t get them down
Tutorial works but if you want them to stick to the roof of your school slide a staple that is bent so it is straight into the tip of your dart. I tried without the staple but it bounced off the roof each time but my first try with the staple stuck instantly.

i have done it almost every time without a staple. It takes practice but it should come pretty easy after getting around 20 stuck
So I see a lot of comments talking about an unfolded staple. In reality, a lightning bolt-shaped staple works best. A straightened staple gets pushed right into the dart. If you insert the lightning bolt, the horizontal part prevents it from being pushed into the dart.

@@blossomnosleep You just bend it so it's a sort of a zigzag/lighting bolt. I'd be better equipped to help you if you actually stated your issue

People at school put staples in the top and literally you can’t see the roof but the teachers don’t really mind anymore cause it makes the roof colorful and it’s like our trademark now

Oof i started this at my school and this one time me and my friend stuck about 11 in the ceiling. My teacher was cool so we didnt get in trouble but this other time i made a massive 1 outta a regular piece of paper and it stuck lol had to get it out before the cameras or teachers saw.

I made a home made throwing dart with a nail a straw a really sharp nail and paper...it's a pretty decent looking dart.I even made a plant dart board.and decent throwing range.

Kids in my school used to add mechanical pencil graphite into the tips of theirs with glue. Darts would stick to ceiling tiles, walls, corkboards, etc. They were eventually banned and paper shuriken took their place. The arms race continues.

I remember giving out 30 of these in class and starting WW3
I do this buy taking a paper clip/staple cutting it at home with a tool to make it vert sharp tape it so it does not go back in the note on impact works like a charm
