    Own one. It's a great object. Unique, solid, few in the same league. the pumping to 15 psi took me under 5 minutes by hand. No drama. The paddles are great, very good quality. The fins are okay, definitely the most fragile part. The kayaking experience is excellent. The seats are great. The paddleboarding feels very safe. The bag is huge. A very comfortable, very stable board. Even for one person I would take the 11'6 size. Lots of real estate 200kg. Great first board for people who want to do light cruises.

    I bought it this spring. I was quite "not sure" as in spring there was no actual reviews about it. I wanted universal thing I could use with kids on beach for fun, go fishing with sit on cooler box or go to multi-day trips on rivers.
    I was mostly worried about daisychain rope, will it last. So far all good. I've used chair for more than 20h by now, no issues.
    I do not like that you cannot take off fins but without chairs, it folds to bag easily. I've once but it into bag with one chair attached, was tight but it fit in.
    I've used it with my whole family - two adults plus 3 and 10y old kids - it's good board, I recommend.

      My pleasure! It was pretty neat to paddle a boat/board that didn't track at the bow at all. Amazing how much the fins bit into the water and kept it going straight.

  • @robertschwartz3675

    I would love to have seen you paddling then switch and put on the seat while on the water. That is a situation I would like the board for when you have to go against a lot of wind and standup becomes to difficult.

    Liked the review but i am left with a question...calm waters...does that included relatively calm beaches? i live in Limassol Cyrpus, the beach is very calm most of the time with minimal waves, would this product be suitable for using it in these conditions? total beginner here by the way.

    It exist the same model but with a single removable fin, it comes bigger with a 9¨for the Sea and i buy a small for the river. I think it is a better option since I want it to be all-situation SUP and if at any moment I break a fin is not a drama, I just remove the broken one and put a new one. I feel that having the removable fin only has advantages and it is better to SUP like this. This is not warned in advance, that there are two models of it. What do you think about this?

    Thanks. That being said, if you're reviewing the product, the paddles are part of that. If the paddles are inferior, I'd like to know how and why. Also, maybe the included paddles would be a better length than your personal ones?

      @@PaddleTV Gave this some more thought. I certainly don't want to impede your enjoyment of what you do - that doesn't benefit you or viewers. I don't think the fact that you used your personal paddle was an issue. Rather, just that there was no elaboration on why someone might be dissatisfied with the included paddle, and what the length of it was, once you noted that your personal one was not the right length. For example, if there's a garbage pump, I wouldn't blame you for using your own better pump - as long as we understand what's garbage about the included one. Again, thanks for your work!

    Make sure your car is running or you run the risk of killing your battery. I've seen other air compressors do that

    • @PaddleTV
      @PaddleTV  3 года назад +1

      I hadn't thought of that. I don't think it would be a concern with this compressor, assuming you were only pumping 1 or 2 boats/boards. It didn't take very long to do, and there's only so much power you can draw. If you were pumping a bunch of boards, I could see it being a problem!

    I am thinking about buying kayak, or SUP and I really like your videos. But here you are talking only about positives of that thing and that sounds suspicious to me. Did you paid that "great" price for the boat, or you got it for free to advertise it? It should be mentioned, if you make promo for company. Thanks!

    • @PaddleTV
      @PaddleTV  3 года назад +6

      All my reviews are 100% unbiased and honest reviews. I'm not paid to do them. As for the downsides of this kayak/board... I mention in the video that it isn't a great kayak, nor is it a great SUP. There are much better kayaks and SUPs on the market. But, it's a good kayak and SUP, and it's exceptional value for the price. And so it's perfect for someone that wants both a kayak and a SUP, but doesn't need 'the best' of either. Make sense? I appreciate the good words on my videos!

    At 36" that that seem pretty wide? does that width cause issues with paddeling?

    • @PaddleTV
      @PaddleTV  2 года назад

      Yes, it can cause issues with paddling. You'll want to use a paddle 235 - 250 cm in length, so that you don't need to reach for the water. The taller you are, the longer the paddle you'll want.

  • @gloppy101
    @gloppy101 2 года назад +1

    Nice board, but not a fan of the fabric D-rings/loops on the sides. Salt water/sun is not kind to fabric and why my boards all use stainless steel D-rings since no corrosion. If a bigger guy or a person who wants to carry a kid or two, these 11'6" boards are excellent and rock stable too. My favorite big board is the POP El Capitan (11'6" x 36") which is built like the brick house and has handles front/rear, US Fin box to allow various fin sizes, D-rings at the center sides to attach a small beach chair or stadium to paddle it kayak style and more comfortable on the back vs these soft seats.

    700 bucks you cant beat that? You can buy bestway hydroforce oceana for less than 300 euros for example (with seat and 2 paddles as well). Seat and board not as nice, but surely not "you can not beat that at 700 usd". Seems like sponsored video out of touch with reality of the market.
    By the way that 300 eur bestway does not need to have crappy 6 inch width to hold 15psi, it is way better 4.75 inch as well...
