Why You Never See Brilliant Blue Fireworks

- Опубликовано: 24 июл 2024
- Bright blue fireworks are far more challenging to produce than common colors like red, white, or green. The issue is that the chemical compound that makes that brilliant blue is more fragile that that of other colors, breaking down at high temperatures. So pyrotechnicians are looking for a way to reach high enough temperatures to burst, but not so high that the compound is destroyed.

Why You Never See Brilliant Blue Fireworks - Наука
Wait , I feel like I’ve seen blue fireworks before.🧐
I was going to comment the same thing. I know I’ve seen red white and blue fireworks.
Yep. I have seen it too!
MrFatilo yes but they made it seem like nobody ever sees blue fireworks at all, which is a misconception
Colleen Harrison well I haven’t on bombfire night
Yes
Because it never *blue* up

That’s okay, I was *REDy* for the red fireworks.

I can’t believe real life is so unrealistic. In Minecraft you can easily create blue fireworks by simply using blue dye and gunpowder to create a blue firework star.
Why is like every comment you make your profile fits

Just put blue food colouring in the fireworks smh it’s not that hard

I dont watch RUclips's to get answers is do it by myself without using any science insider answer
they shouldnt say you never see blue fireworks. thats just untrue. you just see them rarely because theyre harder to produce.
It never said that. It said you never see BRILLIANT blue fireworks
I saw brilliant blue fireworks last week
Ferial Msi 👍🏻
@@Vfxvf remember, your blue is not that same is my blue.
The usual blue firework is dark blue close to purple-ish. It's the commonly known one but still not the real kind of blue we want. Brilliant blue or sky blue fireworks haven't exist.
I’ve seen blue fireworks at the Navel Academy in the US, and it was a BRIGHT blue
That's probably light blue which is not the same as bright blue is much more darker in color.
Fan Antics it was a brilliant blue
@@soccerprogirl7194 Huh
Soccer Pro Girl That’s only because it was dark and you could see the blue more clearly. ;-;

I saw a fire work glow blue at 2:30 , look in the right hand side
They should make this a competition to see who can come up with a safe substance or formula to create brilliant blue fireworks
At least you can see blue fireworks in minecraft
I literally saw blue fire works during 2019 new year's Eve
They meant BRILLIANT blue
meouishlycat what
🤦♂️
We've had blue fireworks as long as I can remember, not necessarily the whole thing but there are definitely blue Sparks in them
The second hardest color to get is a deep emerald green. It can be accomplished, but the chemicals are expensive and quite hazardous to handle.
Before clicking this video, everyone thought they used to see bright blue fireworks😂
Blue fireworks would be so beautiful😍💙
Janiyah Nicole yeah
Yeah
They are
There might be a way to produce that blue color in the future by using technology outside of normal explosives and chemistry. I hope we can.
They exist
2:29
That was blue
I saw it in Woodstock, NY earlier tonight, and I spotted blue fireworks there. Fireworks always have blue along with red, green, orange, pink, purple, and white.
What if i told you i saw blue in every celebration
Never noticed that there were no blue fireworks!
My life is interesting, I know.
There are blue fireworks. He says so
Blue fireworks is everywhere. You might spot them.

Um we actually have blue fireworks here in michigan, I dunno what you're talking about
They meant BRILLIANT blue
I've seen blue fire works before....
I was just wondering this yesterday
Thank you for showing the Celsius °C ❤. I love science. In some way, you have inspried me to become the young member of scientific youth camp in my homeland. I love your videos, but many times, I find very hard to imagine the scale of things you are describing. Thank you, again and keep up with good work. Greeting from Montenegro!
The admittedly crude solution is just to make the blue stars (or lances, etc.) bigger than the other colors, so they throw out more light. The problem then comes in aerial fireworks where they're mixed with other colors. To match the other colors' brightness, the blue stars have to be so much bigger that they burn much longer than the others. That problem too can be surmounted by making cored stars -- tube-shaped so they burn from the inside as well as the outside -- but that's lot of trouble just for a visual effect.
The description of fireworks generally in this video is pretty bad, identifying the base composition as "fuel" (rather than fuel + oxidant), and then saying it's usually black powder (which is hardly ever true for color compositions).
Australia leads the world in firework innovation as the Sydney New Years fireworks are one of the largest recurring fireworks display in the world
surfie007, Japan does.
Just use blue dye to change your fireworks color. Looks very cool with the elytra!
If we understand the workings of blue stars maybe we can figure out how to make fireworks so hot that they appear blue without the dye? Just a thought 🧐
Thank you for this
That is what I still wonder. Thanks
🎵Everything is blue... But not my fireworks🎵
Thanks, Science Insider, I’ve been wondering... 👀
In Malta the Italians make some of the brightest colors I have ever seen and dark bright blue is one they use in there hard breaking stutata shells very nice..
I like fireworks but I hate the sound, so does my cat.
Same and my cats always run inside 😂

Now that you're saying idk I never saw a blue firework

I remember noting just last night that one of the shows was doing red, white and blue as their end. Wonder what the "blue" was then, if not blue.

"Why you don't see blue fireworks"
- sees blue fireworks at the start
I seen some purple and blue stars fireworks when was kid in beach.
Must be filmed a long time ago. Seen many red white and blue.
Boi! TF you talking about I got hella blue fireworks I blew up in July 4th🤔🤔
In germany we have firework shows with blue only lol this video is a joke
That’s not how fireworks work. The fuse gets lit, and once burned to the cardboard shell, the bottom propels it into the sky. Then, the fuse still goes into the shell and it’s timed so once it’s in the sky, the fuse gets to the gunpowder inside, and lights the color beads and propels them outward
Every time I see fireworks, it has to be blue which is Blueberry Muffin.
*in the intro i see a white firework with a blue aura*
They always said that blue is a rare colour.
Blue fireworks isn’t rare, but it’s great. I like the colors.
Tbh I never thought of that
You can try to look for a light blue
I was at disney just yesterday and they had them
Disney is way ahead in the fireworks game
If you can’t that, local fireworks would be the best one than Disney did.
*Why you just put Strontium Chloride with ultra strong blue dye?*
Hmmm thats weird i remember seeing blue fireworks a while back in new years
I have seen blue fireworks before around 5 years ago

I feel like I've seen blue fireworks in 4th of july events or maybe it was just violet idk
I could have lived my whole life without knowing this.....
I love Blue
Its more like a spectrum of an eye how everyone see the blue colour... beside if you see a firework alone with a blue stars its nice but because with reds and greens together the blue disappear in this chaos... purple stars in the other hand is like the same but a lil better!
For some reason , I think I’ve seen blue fireworks before 🤔
Yea me too.
Yea. Me too
I never realized this wow 💀💀
Of course there are fireworks that have the color blue in them. What they are talking about here are large 1.3G professional grade fireworks, not regular 1.4G consumer fireworks.
I litteraly just watched a blue firework luanching and exploding
I've seen blue fireworks before and the mayor said it was very expensive

WTF!!! I’ve seen blue fireworks about a week ago
Why is this video so low, can't hear shit even on max volume
Lol they changed the title after a bunch of people kept mentioning that blue fireworks do indeed exist
Chemistry indeed, but Physics, certainly.
Just saw blue fireworks outside xd
I have an excellent idea to make blue fireworks easier. I have known cobalt to be associated with blue. I even have a game in which a shade of blue is called cobalt. So, I thought, is this the way we make better, blue fireworks?
Phantom fireworks has blue Ariel. Wtf r u talking about?

In my neighborhood they have firework bombs that will make a peep in your ear
Also Sharks (that firework from the EU) makes a bright blue flame and when it explodes you can see a blue flash
