    May make another suggestion -open the mountain range to open sea and border the land area - burnt sienna.

    Thank you for another beginners video. My results don't look delicate and lovely like yours but I will keep practicing. I enjoyed learning the technique of how to soften the cloud edges. Thanks!

    Burnt sienna is usually used on edges of ground.

      Hi @ruthbosch7788 you are right, Burnt Sienna is a good color to use for the edges of ground. This demonstration just has a simplified color palette to make it easy for beginners 👍

    What type of tin are you using for the watercolour paints? Could it be a muffin tin? I love the big wells that can hold a great amount of colour and water so one doesn’t risk running out. This is my first viewing of your tutorials and I’m quite excited to give the, a try. Thanks.

      Hi @ackc263 they are watercolor wells, not muffin tins, although that would work :) I can't fine the exact ones I have as I have had them a long time but these look deep enough and would do the job amzn.to/412rT0i I hope you enjoy the tutorial and there will be plenty of others coming out over the next few weeks 👍

    I love this and look forward to painting it but my question is how do I avoid those dreadful cauliflower blooms when applying so much paint? Is the secret that you let every step dry properly? Thank you.

    • @letspaintwatercolors
      @letspaintwatercolors  7 дней назад

      Hi @DianneChambers1 Often the problem is the ratio of water to pigment. If too much water you lose control when doing detail. Also if the paint dries fast in you say when doing a cloud formation and then you apply more paint on the dry area it can cause blooms. For skies in general you have to mix your colors in advance and work quite fast. Try my video on painting different skies. It will help you in general too for the land area.
