During the battle Daisy has been knocked down into the rushing river, Luigi without hesitation jumps in to save her. Uses a frog power up he successfully saves her from drowning. Discovers Daisy has hurt her leg, he nurses her leg and also gives her his sweater to keep her warm. Daisy felt it was a sweet gesture and romantic. She's also very grateful to Luigi, meanwhile Luigi feels closer to Daisy.
