Thats a really good review. I love your intro and outro music and that intro piece of showing action, then calm, and just showing your brand and what you are covering was steller. Really good job.
It may be a hot take but I actually enjoyed the game. While I do agree that it is a "walking simulator" and it does feel lacking in some areas, overall I thought it was a fairly engaging story. My own personal gripe with the game is that the ending felt a little removed in a sense from the rest of the game. I personally don't know how I'd have it end but that was the only part that didn't satisfy me.
As long as you enjoyed it that’s all that matters. The ending will definitely catch many people off guard and it’s obvious the devs had bigger things in mind that warranted this ending. From the lore I read that I didn’t cover in this review (because I think it’s irrelevant at this time) I think this is the best they could have done.
I haven't played Dark revival yet, but I do like the original game eventhough the story isn't good and chapter 5 is rushed and boring. I like the world they have built and I'm excited for what they do with their universe after dark revival. [Which I think is way better than Batim]
The first one has a charm that I can't quite explain but it's definitely unique. I'm currently playing through the Dark Revival and it's improved on almost everything from the first.

Thanks man! Hopefully this is the groove that works in the long run.

Dude you’re gonna love Dark Revival. It’s still more combat based tho
I can’t wait to try it, I’m hoping it’s more scary than The Ink Machine.
If the combat is fun and more engaging, I can forgive it.
I cant wait to hear your thoughts on the dark revival
I'm excited to play it, I'm just hoping its scarier.
