    Wes Craven is a Master of Horror that will always be missed.

    I'm surprised Heather Langenkamp isn't on here. She always spoke very highly of Wes. It's hard to believe that in the last few years so many legends of horror have passed away. Wes Craven, Tobe Hooper, George Romero. May they all rest in peace.

    Wes was the best Horror director of all time! Box office numbers don't lie! No other Horror director comes close!

    • @killer92173

      except for John Carpenter

    • @nightwalker9841
      @nightwalker9841 8 лет назад +12

      killer92173 It's debatable but I personally like Craven the best and I do believe his box-office numbers are the biggest out of any Horror Director maybe only recently surpassed by James Wan, even though I also am a huge Carpenter fan as well!

    • @FrancisXLord
      @FrancisXLord 7 лет назад

      If you look at the adjusted numbers here: www.boxofficemojo.com/people/chart/?id=wescraven.htm then you can see that what you say about the box office numbers cannot be denied. Largely down to the success of the Scream films really.

      Lucio Fulci made some pretty horrific stuff considering the much lower budget he had to work with.

    • @SomePotato
      @SomePotato 7 лет назад +2

      Pepsi Man, Fulci is totally underrated. Sure, all the gorehounds love him, but the critics put him down as just another Italian splatter director. A lot of his movies are so surreal, imaginative and beautiful.

      I agree except Angela, Bill, Eddie and Rachel because a) they probably was busy at the time (Rachel and Angela were working on Doctor Strange and Black Panther respectively), b) what movie was Bill Pullman in that Wes Craven directed that the majority knows & c) NOBODY remembers Vampire in Brooklyn and/or Red Eye.

      its not suppose to be. its suppose to poke fun at horror. from wiki "The film combined comedy and "whodunit" mystery with the violence of the slasher genre to satirize the cliché of the horror genre popularized in films such as Halloween and Friday the 13th. The film was considered unique at the time of its release for featuring characters who were aware of real world horror films and openly discussed the cliché that Scream attempted to subvert."
