Hi Rob, at 3:37 - I saw you coming and indicated with my flasher that I stay on the right! I assume you were too fast to overtake me on the left! Main thing nothing bad happened!
No problem! I saw the gap on the outside first, and then I was too fast to clear you on the inside especially when you were not totally outside. I had already committed to the gap outside and in this old Porsche it’s impossible to do such a heavy correction for a sharper turn mid-turn without spinning the rear out. I actually expected asphalt out there which is why I just went wide instead of trying to slow the car down more in a straight line, and then grass surprised me. All good, that’s just the risk of pushing for laptimes on a trackday with so many different speed cars. :)
Hey your car seems to be the 997.1 right ? Because I have the feeling that she has some engine/gearbox upgrades , more powerful than a normal gt3 997.1 with 415 hp, isn’t it ? Anyway congrats for this hot lap , and what a car and sound !
Hey, yeah it's a 997.1 but the engine/gearbox are completely stock except for reinforcing the coolant lines. All the mods are listed in the description, but it's basically just good suspension and tyres, and a confident driver :) Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words. The full list of mods on the car: • MR 3-way adjustable suspension with their track setup • Endless ME22 brake pads • Endless RF650 brake fluid • OZ Ultraleggera wheels • RSS engine mounts • Manual exhaust valve control My next planned mods for the car are a lithium battery and maybe an additional set of wheels. I'm also considering the GT3 RS flywheel and gearing, but for now the powertrain is completely stock.
Did you end up with a lithium battery if so what type suits?
Also the lighter flywheel worth it?
I have a LithiumNext TRACK60 battery. Flywheel is still the stock part!
Track limits at Radillon on first lap. Loving the commitment though, awesome!
Kept two wheels on the kerbs, that's how I choose to see it anyway ;P

Could you please tell me what are your settings (camber and parallelism) for front and rear?
Thanks
I’m using the default setup by Manthey Racing.
enjoyed watching your video, fantastic driving. Any modification on your gt3 apart of suspension setup by Manthey?

@@RobSpoel I am owning 997.1 GT3 too, having the lithium battery as well as 997 GT3 rs4.0 clutch kit. It’s fantastic and highly recommended.
