My ditto X4 is failing (intermittent switch issues) and I'm looking to downsize. My main question about the MXR looper is can you have the play/stop button do a stop first? Essentially the way I use the X4 is I will be playing a song and capture a loop of the verse but I don't want to capture a chorus or bridge part of the playing. I want to capture just the verse part, hit a button to stop recording the loop and then just keep playing the song through the chorus and bridge and then when I get to a solo or something that is played over a verse part, I would then play that loop of the verse part of the song that I previously captured. It seems like the MXR wants to play the loop when you hit that button which is the one thing I do not want it to do since when I'm done capturing the loop, I am always transitioning to something after the verse of the song and I dont want to immeidately have the pedal playing the verse loop when the song itself is now in a chorus or pre-chorus. Hopefully that makes sense. The X4 has that dedicated stop button to stop the loop capture and then if I hit the loop button itself again, it starts playing whatever I captured.

Thanks man!
Any idea how to set this back to buffered bypass?
It seems that even when I unplug the power after repeating the hold volume knob procedure, it still passes sound.
