One of the main purposes of a shikibuton is that it doesn't give too much cushion and placing it on the floor will help with your back alignment, drowsiness, and health. Putting it on the futon gives it extra cushion so the firmness that the shikibuton provides is pretty much useless. If you want to place it on top of something get a tatami mat that will allow air flow but not give it extra cushion so you don't lose out on the sleep benefits these mattresses provide. Just a useful tip feel free to ignore it if you want. (Edit: keeping it on the rug will increase the chances of mold growing on it so definitely buy a tatami mat and make sure to clean the futon every other week.)

I recently (some half a year ago?) bought a 2x12 combo version of this amp for 275 quid (including shipping!) which I can't imagine any other option on the market that would beat that bang/buck. In the future I'm planning to swap out the speakers in that combo and also to get an external 2x12 cab for it, and a Captor X for attenuation. But that's some stuff further down the line, it's more than perfectly usable as is, even with the mater volume turned down to bedroom levels. I like the distortion on it though like mentioned I wanna swap out speakers so it will sound better. I wonder how much the trouble with dialing the tone you wanted was down to the cab you used, it's construction and the speakers in it (people tend to insanely underestimate how much that matters, including myself until I realised how IRs are the most important part of defining tone when using amp sims and how that absolutely does translate to physical amps irl).

Conventional classical guitars have a blackwood cross sectional truss rod through the neck which can only really be adjusted through a combination of heat an g- cramps. One option that may help is hard or extra hard tension nylon strings. I thoroughly recommend D'Addario. Not cheap, but the best in terms of tone and longevity.

You'll think this is crazy, but I added red (standard lava red) liquid to that model lamp & it truly brings out the contrast in colours. If you get the mixture too rich, tiny bubbles will stay in the lava permanently. It took me a couple of times to perfect. You're Canadian? Then import the British ("EU Certified") liquid mixture. The American eco-friendly mixture is too water based & dyes thin out back to clear in no time.

It is a really good Amp. With the right boost in front and cab it crushes. Also, I find it blends really well with other amps for recording. Has a really nice pronounced Low Mid growl.

Toured heavily with this pedal. Had a DL4 before it and sold it for this one because I wanted simplicity. I’ve sold a lot of my pedals but I still have this one and my silicon fuzz face.

I picked one up at a night jam at one friend's place, with a TS9 and a cheap Samick carpet-cover amp and together with an old Squier Strat and a Gibson Les Paul - Boom!
