How can anyone not love the violin player
Ann Harris, one word, "AWESOME"
So not many violins playing in roots music. As for females only Alison Krauss came to mind, until I stumbled onto the Otis Taylor version of hey Joe a year ago. An Harris is a revelation, another virtuoso and a beautiful woman to boot. Wonderful!

Anne your passion and beauty is unmatched.
Musically the best thing that happened to me in 2019 was to come across the music of Otis Taylor and Anne Harris. Since then I listen to them all the time , either playing together or individually. As well as being such accomplished musicians they are both innovative, uncontrived, original, inspirational. I love them both. (BTW the rest of the band are pretty damned good too ).
I love your Violin player, Otis!! ;-p. A Violin adds an awesome beautiful dimension to any band, and Anne's Awesome! Thank you all!!

Love these amazing musicians!! I attended the Philadelphia Folk Festival in 1971 as a volunteer. Was an psychology undergrad at Temple University at that time. What an amazing weekend that was! We all camped there overnight along with most of the talent. Although much of the musical talent wasn't what we call famous or well known; they were all great!! A special weekend that I will always remember for sure.

I've been following blues for 35 of my 55 years on this earth and just stumbled upon this awesome band tonight? Feel like I've been cheated You have to get to Cleveland Ohio. I have never heard a sound like you all blues/folk/ funk/Anne you're giving some short of Cajun twist, I'm blown away goosebumps,tears and smiling all at the same time.Thanks for sharing this!!

I just recently came across this version of Hey Joe! It's tremendous. The band is great on every level. And I just love the violin. That's one of the most awe inspiring violin solos i've ever heard. Thank you Anne!! You are so talented and beautiful!!

I would like to thank Johnny Depp. Because of his trial I watched his movie Public Enemies.In that movie was a song that grabbed me,called Ten Thousand Slaves. That lead me to the video and others such as this one ,of Otis Taylor and this phenomenal violinist Anne Harris and band.Amazing talent!! I don’t know if they still tour,but if so, I’m there!

There are a few performances that I have witnessed via the wonder of RUclips that I would absolutely love to have been there for...this is definitely one! The rendition of "Hey Joe" was right up there with Hendrix, Buchanan etc...the addition of Ms. Harris on the fiddle made it an orgasmic experience.
