I'm 29 years old now and good lord this really invokes some serious nostalgia. I went a couple times as a kid, but I'm pretty sure we only went because it was the cheapest option for an amusement park

My parents took me when I was barley old enough to remember, maybe 3 or 4 at the time. I remember the lady bug coaster and the whales which I obviously loved as a kid not knowing about blackfish lol. My parents never took me back and I used to think it was one of the best places on earth seeing the commercials over and over again, and the jingle was on point af. Now tho I’m not even sure I want to go back even for the nostalgia because I know it’s not what I remember at all and is basically gunna close any minute now that the original owner and creator is dead. Seeing the videos of this park now is just sad tbh. Lots of wasted potential. Lots of land for rollercoasters but only had the one mega coaster.
This was my childhood!
I went there twice and met a few people from the commercial there, the younger girl who got kissed by the sea lion was still actively going to the park quite a lot, she really loved marineland. The people were very nice there but I did hear a lot of bad rumors about how the animals were being kept so after my second visit I stopped going. Really enjoyed them 2 visits though.

You likely had more better theme park experience at Darian Lake than Marineland. There really was not much to do at Marineland, especially as a teenager. Went there twice as a very young child for the first time, then as a teenager for the second time. Made better memories there at Marineland as a young child than as a teenager. Remembered doing a lot more things during my first time there than my second time experience. I recalled doing a lot more walking during my second time at Marineland, because there really was not much else to do.
You likely had more better theme park experience at Darian Lake than Marineland. I went to Marineland twice. First time as a very young child and second time as a teenager. I had way more fun at Marineland for the first time than I did for my second time. There were many fun things at Marineland as a very young child to do there. Not as much fun at Marineland as a teenager, as there were barely much to do to the point I just ended up walking around until it was time to leave.
