I've been doing some reading about Maria and she's an amazing woman. She started out as a young teen mom and scratched and clawed her way to the top while keeping her son as a priority. She's remarkably normal and down-to-earth and pretty much the opposite of her stage persona. Lots of respect for her to have accomplished what she has. I'm not totally into everything she does, but she's an artist and you're not necessarily going to be a fan of everything an artist does even if you love them. I'd love to see some of her painting because as I understand she's quite a painter.
