    Thank you for making this interview possible. We almost never get to hear the real process behind the writing of an album. And especially for a band as complex musically and lyrically as Thrice, it's amazing to have the privilege to understand the deep meaning behind such a brilliant work of art.

    Thanks for doing this. Wish y'all would have let him dive into Whistleblower. :D Such an interesting song imo.

      I agree- if you watch the video- we give ample 'dead air' space (silence) after Whistleblower to let Dustin chime in, but he never does. For the sake of keeping the video moving forward (and not being a 2 hour video), we had to move on. It didn't seem like he had much to say about the song, I guess :(

    Thank you to all your dedication and all the meaning behind your well placed words that become well arranged with sound. Thrice has a long way to go on their journey and Ill be happy to follow them through their journey. I cant sum up everything I want to say with a coment. Thank you for let in us interpret your songs in a way we feel it suits us to say this is what you really mean to say. I feel like a child that you are telling me a good night story and later I feel there are really strong meanings to this well arranged words you speak of.

    I love Kensrue as an artist, but with all due respect, I did not like this interview process at all. Playing songs for an artist while you're interviewing them seems weird. The questions could have been better. Audio/stream issues. Asking him what he thinks of Bieber. Not trying to be rude, but it could have been done better. Thanks for publishing it though. It's always a pleasure to see Kensrue talk about his art.

      Thank you both, Danny and 'GoTeam'. We aren't really 'professionals' (ok, one of us kind of is). The purpose of these is to get people to really discover music again. In the day of Spotify, Pandora, Apple Music, Amazon Music, et al., bands aren't making money selling music anymore and people by and large aren't discovering 'ALBUMS', they are discovering songs then moving on to the next flavor every few months. By playing the songs during the interview, hopefully we'll take the artist back to the time when they were writing and recording while taking the viewer on a trek through the album to see/hear how one song goes into the next- the 30,000 foot view if you will in hopes that someday, we'll return to the 'album listening' experience. Cassettes and 'boom boxes' are making a comeback in Asia among the younger generation which means no shuffle, no skips, and only the 12-16 songs on the record are heard. We hope to return to that mentality here in the future and hope people DISCOVER MUSIC, DISCOVER BANDS (AND BRANDS) and stop listening only for the one song, then on to the next. The music industry and artistic endeavors of the act depend on it in the long run! And as for the Bieber comment, we try to keep it loose and real, man. You'd be surprised at how many people respect folks like Bieber, Swift, Timberlake as musicians and artists.

      I love what you guys are doing but the format needs work. Listen to more podcasts and try and be a little more candid and I think you'll find a naturally flowing conversation draws a lot more viewers in and allows for those magic accidents that make for truly great interviews.
      Perhaps if you edited in the music and particular comments in in post? All your questions and comments are wonderful and I love the depth you go into. Dustin is one of my favorite artists and I'm stoked to see good dudes like you guys giving these guys their due diligence! I hope I wasn't too harsh in my criticism. Happy thanksgiving and thanks for doing what you do!

      Kyle, love the feedback. Dustin was one of our more cumbersome interviews. The tricky part is making sure the artist feels comfortable and that we keep moving forward as to not have a 2 hour long interview. We are discussing a podcast right now- a lot of them are very boring and we aren't necessarily 'professional' interviewers, just fans trying to keep it real. That can be difficult when an artist comes across as not really wanting to be there.
      Have you seen any of our other interviews? I'd recommend the one we did with Kyle of Beware Of Darkness or Jonny from Nothing More- both guys who were engaged and entertaining. Our biggest video is the one we did with Greta Van Fleet which, even though we had some tech issues, was fun and fast moving!

      @TwoDoodsReviews  6 лет назад

      Curious as to why a question about Bieber was such a bad thing? We try not to ask the same questions every other interviewer asks. The point of these is to offer a '30,000' foot view on the entire album as an art piece.
