Most people think two years is the max difference at that age. Even if that were not true, Maya has an early birthday and she’s a year older than Riley. Maya is only three years younger than Josh but she is four grades below him and that is a bit much. I do ship them and I love them and I love the idea of someday but at this point in the show, no way. A freshman in high school dating a freshman in college is weird. They are future endgame but I’m glad they were not dating when the show ended. ( Because the show ended when my I was a freshman. If the show had gone on till they were older or they did a flash forward, I would’ve loved to see them together)

I know a lot of people were wary of it because of the 3 year age difference, but in the long run it doesn't mean that much, my mum was 12 years younger than her first husband and is 5 years older than my dad, so I have never seen a problem with large age differences in couples (obviously with couples that have a minor it is a completely different story but still!)
