  • For this one I teamed up with Oase to make my very first biOrb AIR! I knew I had to pull out all the stops for this one. A lot of you actually were requesting that I set one of these up as well, so it was a win win. I don't think I've seen another bioactive biOrb either... It had to be done. I also incorporated a lot of rare and oddball plants that I've had on deck for a while. I'll let the video do the rest of the talking from here.
Like I said in the video I haven't had a chance to use it for very long, so I can't give a full assessment at this time. I'll follow up in a few months though to show you the growth and let you know what my thoughts are. That said, my initial impression is that I really like it. If I determine that it's a solid piece, then we'll talk about stocking it with some more critters... PDFs anyone?
In case you wanted to learn more about the biOrb AIR or were looking to buy one for yourself, check out the links below! Just linking it up for you. I do not get any kind of compensation for it.
    store.oase-usa... or amzn.to/2W1vQkV
Also, just for the record you DO NOT need to spend a ton of cash to get a well established, highly functioning system. I've shown you all about that until this point.
In case you're wondering, here's a Full Plant List:
    Adiantum pubescens (Rough Maidenhiar Fern)
    Alternanthera ficoidea 'Christmas Tree'
    Badge Moss (Plagiomnium insigne)
    Begonia rex 'Rumba'
    Colysis wrightii 'Monstrifera'
    Cryptanthus acaulis 'Jade'
Ficus pumila 'Quercifolia' (Oak Leaf Creeping Fig)
Lamium maculatum 'White Nancy' (Spotted Dead Nettle)
    Liverwort (Marchantia polymorpha)
    Macodes petola
    Masdevallia nidifica
    Pilea glauca 'Aquamarine'
    Pleurothallis grobyi 'Small'
    Pteris cretica 'Roweri'
    Saxifraga veitchiana (Strawberry Begonia)
    Selaginella kraussiana
    Selaginella pallescens

When I was little, my maternal grandparents got a big globe terrarium that sat on a pedestal. They had me help them put it together and add the plants. I watched the plants grow overtime and loved it. Your videos on terrariums has woken that love. I can’t wait until I can make my own, but I first need to find a job so I can buy what I need. This terrarium looks very similar, minus all the bells and whistles, to what my grandparents had.

The price has been a "no go" for me as well. But when you really think about it: how much is a standard 45x45x60 cm exoterra when you count in lighting, automation, misting gear, ... And apparently in this case you only need one plug. So, while watching this video, I really decided to try and find a used one 😉

At first I thought you were adding too many plants, but after you finished it, I saw the overall look and was in love. I would very much like to have one or three of these in my home. A terrarium is the only way for me to have indoor plants as my cats tend to try munching on the greenery. That is not only bad for the plants but can be disastrous for the cats as well.

Stunning! Love how the light cast plant shadows onto the wall. You make it look so effortless putting all the plants together. I would have to rearrange multiples times to fit it to look right. That being said, I agree your end result might be the best looking one yet!
I for one completely enjoy your “ instructional” videos, even though you said you hate following instructions 😂😂.

Hell yeah brother, looks great as all your work usually does. I built Giant Paludarium out of an old TV Stand. Just added some African Cichlids to the water feature. All the Animals are loving it so far. And I really should have planted it and let the plants get fully established before housing them. But this was situation where I couldn't. I waiting on a Tropical Plant kit to come in as of right now I have one bromeliad and its doing just fine. Have a few small videos on my channel if you can get by the amature filming done with my cell phone..lol

I've been intrigued about this orb for a while. I like the idea of keeping orchids in there so I can get into growing more mini orchids. I will be interested to see how everything is when the update vid comes out.

This setup is so beautiful, despite your valid complaints of the lighting schedule etc. I'm new to bioactive terrariums, but your work is such a good incentive for me! I think that the key draw for the biOrb was the near-spheric confine. I was confused at first by the foreground vs background bit earlier, and now I get it, you've built layer upon layer of visually appealing plant life! I think I may skip buying a biOrb and just watch more of your videos to learn different terrarium techniques lol.

Well Thank You very much for this informative and delightful video,
This terrarium product is wonderful and now I would like to purchase one for myself, I would however like to add some very small fish into a similar setup, I wonder if this could be done, any idea would certainly be very helpful. I have some experience with container gardening, but have never gotten around to completing my setup with some delightful and colorful little fish, this would be so nice.
I do agree with you completely about the lighting systems timing schedules, it should be fully programmable, we often use these types of terrariums in our sleeping spaces, so of course even a dimmer would be helpful. Sweet Product, overall I am totally sold.
