Not really caring about the MV quality because the song makes up for it, but the camera movements on the robotic arm are a unique feature which adds to the aesthetics of this MV and makes it work. All it would have needed was a better camera to film on, I heard it was filmed on an iPhone, that’s not even that bad, Selena Gomez and Lady Gaga both filmed their recent MVs on iPhones and nobody complained. So I’m here for GIRLKIND and here to support.
The MV mostly has issues with lighting, and the fact that it doesn't seem to be color corrected or color graded. Even just a few minutes of work in After Effects is an improvement imho. In regard to the song, if we ignore the cheap sounds the producer used, the vocal production and overall mixing is a mess. It's not a bad song, but it clearly suffers from the same budget constraint as the mv. Still gonna stream though, I for one don't mind the demo-y sound even if it is unintentional.

Listening in 2024, this beautiful song accompanied me during the pandemic, and I still love it!! This is what K-pop really is, pure and honest work free of scandals and pretentiousness!! Maybe it's not the best produced MV, but their team made the best with what they had and the girls delivered!! This song is a masterpiece with a great message!

I think its about luck there are some groups that made famous their "nugu" companies like mamamoo, gfriend or bts . So we will never know who is gonna be famous and who's not.

The song is quite simple compared to the kind of songs that kpop groups release nowadays and i think the producer can do more than this. I think it's alright if the M/V doesn't have a lot of budget, as long as the directors, producers, and especially the editors know what they're doing. They could've emphasized the minimalist aspect of this video and opted for sharp and consistent editing so that the whole video looked cohesive and not all over the place.
