I have had an Almond Cow since they came out. It’s great if you’re okay with there still being enough liquid in the pulp to add it to overnight oats (or make “n’oats” if you’re raw). I still end up squeezing the pulp through a nut milk bag so to be honest it’s on the shelf in my laundry room. I just use a nut milk bag and my Blendtec most of the time so admittedly the new Nama M1 is SUPER intriguing. Just not sure I could justify the cost when I already have the Almond Cow. If you don’t have one already it my be worth it if you’re spending a fortune on “clean” nut and seed milk already, especially with the difference in warranty.
Yeah! Great points to consider for sure! Agreed, if you don’t already have something and are buying a lot at the store, it’s a sure way to get awesome milk and save a ton of money. Or if you’re looking to level up from your current experience or make it more convenient, I think it’s awesome. But if you’re just occasionally making milk, some might think it’s a bit more than they need. Appreciate your feedback and thanks for tuning in!
@ the machine doesn’t require you to soak the nuts or ingredients prior to making your milks. However, I recommend soaking so as to remove sprouting inhibitors and activating enzymes that make digestion great. Milks last 2-3 days topped up and sealed in the fridge. If vacuum sealed, then longer. You can check it out here: geni.us/NamaSale It’s on sale through 12-2. Use code: JFBFCM
I am intrigued and will eventually get the Nama. I still make almond milk with my vita mix and a nut bag. I only have one potential quibble with the Nama. When I make nut milk the old fashioned way with a blender and nut milk bag, I blend the dates whole into the milk. When you use the machine, I see you add the dates with the nuts, meaning that much of the dates will end up in the pulp. Isn't that a bit wasteful? Is it not better to consume the dates whole? Just one small thing I think about.
Awesome! I know you’ll love the M1 once you get it! You can totally blend the dates in after you make the milk on the M1. The disadvantage? Another step and another appliance to clean up. By doing at all at once it’s just more convenient. As far as waste, as long as you’re using the pulp for recipes after the fact it’ll be used and consumed. With the dates already in the pulp, it’s sweetened & ready for some tasty treat recipes. Nama has some good recipes for that in their recipe book. I guess it’s a personal preference ❤️ Let me know if you have any other questions! Appreciate your feedback and appreciate you tuning in!
I’ve been using my Almond Cow 1-2 times a week for 4 years now. I do push the pulp with a silicone spatula into the basket t extract all the liquid, but that’s no big deal. I do find the milk a bit gritty AJ I strain it through a fine mesh strainer. Other than that, it’s fast ams easy to use. Better than my Vitamix ams a nut milk bag. But now I’m having FOMO!!! The M1 looks so great…but can I justify buying if my Almond Cow works perfectly? I’m in Canada, so after shipping and taxes it’s about $700 😢 that spin cycle though…😱 and it would match my J2 😂 although I keep my J2 and my Almond Cow in my cupboard so it doesn’t matter…I’m like a kid that wants the newest version of something I already have 😬😂🫠
Thanks for sharing your experience on the Almond Cow! Glad to hear it’s holding up and that you have a strategy to get all the milk out with the spatula. Yeah! Agreed; The spin cycle is pretty amazing. And the fact that you take the steps you do with the almond cow, I think you’d really appreciate the simplicity of adding it, hitting the button and letting it do both blending and straining. Yes! Matching J2 & M1 would be so sleek! And I totally understand being like a kid wanting the newest toy! Haha I’m not sure yet, Nama may have some Black Friday sales coming so that can help. Stay tuned to my channel for that info and if I have codes for that. Keep me posted on what you decide to do! Thanks for tuning in!
@@JuiceFeaster Oh one more question…you said it’s only US compatible for the plug…you mean US and Canada right? I think we have the same? In case I did order … I’d be sad if it didn’t work here 😬
Naw the M1 isn't worth it. A small amount of work with the almond cow seems worth it to me vs paying more just for a slightly drier pulp. The almond cow makes great milk for the price which seemed expensive until the M1 came out.
I think if you tested / used them side-by-side as I have, then tasted the milks made on each of them you’d think differently. Appreciate your opinion though! Thanks for tuning in!

no need to soak???
How long does the milk last in fridge?

@@astrochakrasynergysystem1480 should be available 2025 in Australia, but not sure when. Hopefully early 2025!
