Thank you so much for this! I really believe the thing that makes BJDs so special isn't the actual ball joints but the special eyes. They really make the dolls come alive. The eyes tell the story of the doll. They mirror the personality of the doll and make it become a real entity with history, emotion, personality. For someone who wants their dolls to be truly unique, eye making is a must in my opinion!

I use a prosthetic eye and I'd love to have a prosthetic as cute as this doll eyes
that would look so good!
ink!! prosthetic eyes are laaamethey are just made to be "esthetic" in the same color as your natural eye but is boring after a while, is not like a prosthetic leg that help you to walk again, an eye is just to "make you look normal"

you can also use clear builder gel (for gel nails) for the lenses. Still needs UV to cure, but I've found that it's cheaper ounce for ounce than Magic-glos.
the eyes look almost creepy by themselves until you place them in the doll, then they are beautiful!? Magic 😊

_Godddd, I want to create my own dolls _*_so_*_ badly, but I'd _*_never_*_ be able to. For one thing, I don't have the artistic talent, and for another, I don't have the money to buy the tools and resources necessary...I love these videos, but watching them is always so bittersweet. :(_

Aρняσɗιтє'ѕ ლ Ɗιαяу Practice, even if you don't have the artistic talent who said it has to look good? Making dolls is not about it looking pretty and cute, it's about the effort and love you put into it. Like you're not going to have children and neglect them because they're not what you wanted them to look like. The only real advice I can give you is to stop making excuses and start making successes. Work for money and then maybe you can start making dolls. These people didn't start making beautiful dolls out of thin air, they've worked their asses off just to do the face.

Talent is important but it's not everything. Practice a lot to get better. The money is definitely a road block though.

A friend of mine makes dolls and when they need small eyes they just use white beads and print the eye design out on hardy paper and glue it onto the bead.

Hey Babyangeldark91, I get doll clothes from many different places be it websites like eBay, Etsy, and general doll websites like the ones linked in my Doll F.A.Q.. I also commission doll seamstresses and keep an eye out for limited doll clothing preorders. I spend a lot of time looking for new places since there is always new people who open their own shop. But I think it is definitely worth all the time spent searching. You may also want to have a look at my Patreon page, where I share and discuss all the new doll clothing stores that I find :)

beautiful :) one thing I think might be interesting to try, is putting a few specs of glitter in with the gloss at the end, so that these would look like floating little lights. I don't have a BJD to try that for though :/

With this technique could you paint specific designs, such as Ciel Phantomhive's eye if you were creating a doll of him?
technically yes, but finding stickers of the correct size, or being able to draw such intricate design on a really small scale and round surface, is a completely different challenge.
