There is a plethora of stock/portfolio/ETF videos out there, but this guy gets to the point. He enunciates in a clear manner and communicates to laypersons - as opposed to the many others who go around in circles, are silver tongued & provide cumbersome information which makes you even more uncertain or confused. Thanks for that, the rest employ similar tactics to PUA with their "formulas" and word-salads. I like nothing more than clear-cut straight-to-the-point info. Thumbs up on the video! 👍
@@OptimizedPortfolio No, thank you. I appreciate your honesty, in a website saturated with bs smoothtalkers who are only out to get monetized and couldn't care less about the very people they claim to be helping. Seriously, it's infuriating watching so many investment videos that blow hot air. Take care
@@OptimizedPortfolio Do you recommend I get Vxus? If so, how much would suffice? I'm mostly VTI and understand the important of ex-US/diversification..but Vxus has barely grown in years. I know the future may tell a different story and likely will, but is there perhaps another Global Index focusing on emerging markets that is performing better? I suppose Vxus is the biggest and most well known Int'l stock. Thanks again :)
@@FactStorm I appreciate you noticing and saying that. Not trying to humblebrag, but that's actually why I made this channel in the first place - to provide practically useful, factual information and dispel the BS from the grifters who push the flavor of the week. Sadly, those videos pushing shiny objects and get-rich-quick ideas tend to get more views and subscribers.
Both indexes correlate perfectly, which is a demonstration that international small caps from Hungary Turkey, Argentina and Portugal don’t make any difference. There is such a thing as over diversification,in my humble opinion these two ETFs have the same performance. So it doesn’t matter which one you pick.
The stocks in VEU have outperformed the stocks in VXUS historically (since 2011). The opposite was true for about 2011-2018, then it switched the last 7 years or so. Only time will tell which one wins out over the long term.
That's systematic/compensated risk, though. Over the past 15 years or so, it paid off in the first half of the period, and then large caps have won out the latter half to account for slight outperformance by VEU over the full period as of today.

Thanks for watching!
After this video I decide to buy VXUS, thank you!

But why then return of vxus is lesser then veu??

The inclusion of small caps make potentially increase profit but also increases risk. VEU appears less risky with the same rate of return

Thanks 👍 .
Welcome 👍
I like VXUS for my schwab account.
Thanks for sharing!
VXUS looked good until I noticed it doesn't include Germany.
Yes it does.
@@OptimizedPortfolio Oh really.. that changes everything. Thanks!
Daniel Trafficway
Vxus is slightly better
I'd prob take VXUS too
Rubbish… they are practically identical.. you should show the exact holdings that they have
That's ...the point of the video. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Just realized you already watched and commented on this video a month ago, so I don't know what to tell ya, brother.
