From what I've seen, their zombie abilities don't work when they are not "transformed," like when Nam-ra's eye goes red with that whole side of her face. Then it seems to go dormant until that will that evolved her in the first place comes out (protecting Su-hyeok). She doesn't really transform until he's in danger. Gwi-nam seems to always be in "zombie-mode" not to mention his body is fucked up half the time.
The reason why they decrypting it to the HQ is because its a backup plan just in case they didn't make it back. If the Special Forces take the laptop and something happens to them or the laptop, game over.

pretty sure the special unit decrypted and uploaded the file on site was bc if they get bit, die, or the laptop gets damaged they would have to send a new unit like it makes sense to get it to the camp immediately but also bring the physical laptop

This episode was almost unbearable to watch because of how closely them getting abandoned and crying in the rain related to the Sewol Ferry disaster. Literally this whole show feels like a call-back to that; sometimes it's hard to watch the show when so many highschoolers died in a situation chillingly similar.

The one thing people keep forgetting is what if they were infected and or bitten? I can definitely understand why he didn’t open the door in the first place. If he did it would have been the coach all over again.
I think there was also spite involved(with the flashback and all), no one in the school saved him from bullying and he resented that, either way the core of his character is being passive and wishy-washy: he tries to resist the bullies but ends up obeying them, he tries to save the girl he likes(when she wants to suicide), but can’t bring herself to go with her to destroy the video, even his ultimate attempt of revenge(and biggest impact in the plot) is NOT opening a door

What's even more messed up about the army abandoning them is if they hadn't waited so damn long in the first place to even attempt a rescue of students, they likey would've avoided the virus mutating to the point of some being asympotamtic...
Granted, the virus probably would've mutated to this point anyway, but it was a major misstep to not mount air rescue attempts of students sooner because they assumed since they were in class when infection happened, they were essentionally doomed. The virus mutating to be asympotmatic could've taken longer if that were the case.

Namra being a female does not mean anything in terms of fighting Gwi..its just that Zombies get their energy from feeding on ppl and Gwi has been doing that (since he got bitten which was episodes ago) while Namra has been fighting the urge so thats why she is weaker. They both have the same ability bc they are both still HALF-ZOMBIE. That is why she can still lunge him in the air and throw him bc that shows you the strength she also has. He is only stronger bc he has energy and does not resist urge to feed. Also, Namra is just learning about her strength so she is basically a newbie lol.

In defense of the trigger happy general, the last girl took like 6 men to overpower, if the entire group were asymptomatic superzombies, they’d be fucked, guns or no guns.
