What settings were you recording in with your go pro? Looks really good.
justin reyes The standard mode was always 1080p at 60fps. For timelapse, the time interval was anywhere between 0.5-2 seconds. No special settings with the GoPro, its all thanks to Mauritius that the video looks good ;)

cool one! i'm wondering, becuase i got a dslr and i love cameras since i was 11 (i'm 17 now and i'm a girl). i want to buy gopro for holiday but not this year, the next one. i'm going to Croatia. do you think the cheapest gopro would be okay? and how did you get the great flow? i mean something like stedicam (i forgot how to write it haha), it's like professional. i must make a nice video from my holiday so please help me if you could :) and did you use the famous red filter underwater? i want to go underwater though i can't swim hahaha
+Marita Bee I would suggest go for the GoPro Hero 4 Silver, we have this one now and its a perfect balance between price and performance! Get a pole, something like a selfie stick to stabilise the shots. No filters underwater, actually I did nothing to correct the colour on these shots. What you see is exactly what the GoPro filmed ;)

+Marita Bee Most stabilization comes from holding the pole, all your shaky hand movements disappear but the rest is done using software. GoPro studio has this included as well as youtube
Can you tell me your gopro specs (Mode, framerate, view and if protune was on)
***** 60fps 1080p with no Protune. Protune uses a higher bitrate and I could have done with it to have more control over color correction, but to be frankly honest... I think the standard video mode served well enough for my needs :)

in editing did you do anything to remove the fisheye. Some of your videos and other great editors (Nainoa Langer) all your videos dont have a fisheye. same with post stabilization. Sweet video though :)
THE tyson hanning The answer you are looking for is After Effects CS6 :) Yes on some shots I have removed the fisheye but for other shots it suits it quite well. The effect to use is optics compensation. And of course I have used warp stabilizer on many of the shots yes
+mechvisual what is the effect with the red and yellow mark like at 1:22. I don't really know how to explain it but have seen it on a few other vids but have never found out what it is.
You only edit in after effects? Not premiere? What are the effect called on 1:20 and 1:27 and 3:00 ? Thanks
PerlBeach The effect is "glow" and "wiggle", for 3.00 the effects is a simple fade with a mask to make it look like an eye is blinking. Its hard to explain exactly how to do it. I would recommend looking at tutorials and just playing around yourself, you need to understand how the software works. Itll take time but its the only recommendation I can give!
+MechVisual thanks for the answer. I am already semi pro in premiere but thats why I wonder that you cut with AE only.... Usually people use it after the premiere work. The video is awesome.
PerlBeach I was born and bred into After Effects, never even touched Premier Pro. For the lengths of videos I make I think After Effects does a great job, obviously wouldnt recommend for composing a feature film or long video of that sort!

Hello! It's called Adobe After Effects :)
And would you mind tell us in which modes you shot the video? Its amazing and the editing also is supreme :)
The standard mode was always 1080p at 60fps. Although if you have a gopro hero 4, then i would choose a higher resolution at 60fps and scale it down in after effects to have a crissppp looking shot. For timelapse, the time interval was anywhere between 0.5-2 seconds. a 32gb memory card should be enough to capture the timelapse before the battery runs out =]
