Wow, very cool story. I just saw Bela Fleck (along with Michael Cleveland, Sierra Hull and other greats) play last night. All I could think was how humble are these amazing artists to have the talent they have and play in a freaking middle school auditorium. Amazing concert that they put their everything into, as if they were on the Opry stage.
One of the things I love about Billy Strings is the way he obviously loves to learn and is so enamored with the playing of those he makes music with. The way he is transfixed by what Bela is playing at about 3:10 is something I have seen him do with Michael Cleveland, Tommy Emmanuel and Molly Tuttle as well. This is one gracious and kind musician.
He's been that way for many years!
