  • The Dead Daisies are a band of men who live the dream, touring the world, playing to fans of all races, ages and backgrounds. But it hasn't always been that easy, especially in their early careers and lives. Here, bassist Marco Mendoza opens up about how, as a fearful young introvert, he became a drug addict, eventually getting busted, and now he flies the flag for sobriety. He has turned his life around from a scared addict to a man with an attitude of gratitude.

Marco is an extremely humble and kind man whom I am fortunate enough to know. What you hear is really from his heart and he is amazing. Listen up and don't make the same mistakes.

An excellent "been there, done that and tried everything" candid interview. He labeled himself correctly as a "functional alcoholic" and as a former one myself, we both are "non-practicing alcoholics" and his temptations are way over the top. Marco is a top notch musician, superb communicator and human being!!
