My mission is to keep more bicycle riders in the sport.
Whether you can't afford to take it to a shop,
you don't have a way to transport it to the shop,
you don't have time to take it in for repairs,
or you just want to learn to fix, repair, and upgrade your own bike,
I will help to keep your bike running smooth and you riding longer. - Хобби

Thank you! I'm glad I could help!
Genius ! I used 3mm long Allen key instead.
Lol i bought mx grips hope they’ll fit bought them bc they looked fire
Do you also use the hair spray when installing bolt on grips or is it no needed? Thanks
Thanks. I just did it but the muscle on my forearm muscle has double.
is there something else u can use then hairspray?
Legend
A tiny drop of dish soap or probably any soap is way easier and to put your grips back on you just put your grip on then tap it lightly with your hand each tap pushes it on further this works multiple times
Incredible tip, I didn't have hair spray, I immediately tested the dish soap and it took the same amount of time to read your comment as getting the grip off. Less than a minute. A screwdriver helps as well to get in between the grip to drip soap into.
Your welcome glad that my tip helped
Thank fucking God this video exists
Guys instead of water just use windex and slips right off
Rage_Blaze that’s what SHE said.
can i use WD 40 instead
I have mushroom grips which are already capped at the end. Rip. Great explanation though!!
What is the difference between WD 40 and hair spray for installing the grip?
I was taught to use hairspray by an old "yoda" of the bicycle mechanic trade. He said of all the things he has tried, hairspray dried fast and held the best, even in a little rain.
@@thebasementbikeshop2336 oh ok thanks.
Rubbing alcohol also works
Put away the heat gun. I struggled more than you, but got it done.
you can take your bike to the shower and spray hot water straight into the grip and itll expand temporarily and it becomes very easy to pull out.
Is there onther way to not break the bar ends
I've thought about shooting some lubricant or water into it and turning it like I do with the grips. If there is a hole in your barends, you could use an air compressor to shoot the barends out like a champagne cork by putting the air nozzle in one side and plugging up the other side. I hope that helps.
The Basement Bike Shop I have odi grips
@@moy14ss33 Is there a screw in the end of your bar end?
The Basement Bike Shop no
Why can’t we just use we40 once the straw is in
I did once. You just have to clean out the grips really good or they won't stick because if the wd40 residue.
@@thebasementbikeshop2336 I used the 2 in one. The water didn’t work for me or I just didn’t have the patience.
Yt says you have 6.24 million subs how? Or is this a mistake? Since you have only have around 258000 views all together. How!!?
Lol. That's a mistake. Not even 2k yet.
The Basement Bike Shop oooh I was actually thinking how did it happen and you must be amazing getting over 6 million in two years well good luck with the channel I’ll sub to help you out.
@@finnisgay5056 Yeah i my end it doesn't say that. Weird. thanks for the sub
This dude really said 'When i didnt have water'
Maybe I live in a desert...that has hairspray. Don't hate. lol
@@thebasementbikeshop2336 Dont worry dude this helped so much lol just switched them out and was ridding all around town. then my chain popped off... any ideas? it keeps getting hella loose and i think its because im back pedaling but idk.
@@yaboi_jay2735 how's your sprocket? Back pedaling shouldn't matter. I do it like its my fidget spinner. Sometimes if your sprocket is bent when it hits the tight spot, it stretches your chain or pulls your wheel in. Do you have tensioners?
@@thebasementbikeshop2336 nah I don't have tensioners but I'm thinking if I put like a a metal rod or something it'll hold the bike nuts back so it won't keep sliding foward
How can I make it dry quicker ?
If you have an air compressor you can blow air under them
