When I was a senior in high school I blocked a 6'4" freshman on our team every day in practice. The guy hadn't bulked up yet and I was a little slow so he would extend his arms on me and try to backpedal and sidestep as best he could and assist in tackles as our starting offense ripped through the 2nd team D. He got a scholarship to the local 1-AA college but never got any playing time that I saw despite having some respectable bulk on his 6'6" frame.
I also played with future Clemson punter/extra point kicker Rusty Seyle in high school. He was kinda of a throwback in that he kicked goals straight ahead with a square toe-shoe that laced up from the front to behind his ankle. He had the bad luck to be teammates with a soccer style kicker at Clemson who could kick field goals further. The other kicker I played with in high school did it soccer style and I shagged balls for him during spring practice my junior year when I broke my thumb. He taught me form well enough that I could make extra points about half the time.
I’ve made a kick from my own 41 at 5’11 back when I was 165 pounds basically from technique alone, it really all comes down to momentum and technique. He forsure could generate enough force with that frame for an 80 yarder off a 3 step, As long as he has enough flexibility to pendeulum his leg well enough without needing all the speed, that’s alot of leg to work with.

kind of off topic but look back at Montana States history... They do an extremely good job at recruiting the state of texas. They get guys like this and denarius mcghee because of it
He’s gotta watch his get off time punting with those long legs. He might actually need to move back a yard or so? Depends on protection. I’d put a middle rush on his punting with his long leg strides. He’s a special talent though. I’m sure his hang time of 5 seconds and up on some of these
He should reach out to some Australian Football League trainers. There are exercises that Australians do to cope with the kicking done in AFL that would help him stay healthy.
being tall doesnt mean ur good at basketball bro ive seen tall kids with butter fingers and no vert but sometimes they have other strengths unconventional for their height.... like punting or shooting (in basketball)
On the first punt the returner wasn’t star struck or anything. He just knew he already had 3-4 kicking team gunners behind him, between him and the end zone. So he fair caught it to save 4 yds and avoid his offense being pinned at the 1 yd line But I get it, your version is better for YT and cooler narrative for the brain fried, dopamine deficient Tik Tok crowd
