I totally agree!! It was fantastic and felt true to the rest of the story, like re-emphasizing the theme of "meaning" that we saw so frequently in the earlier seasons.

The work put into it is quite impressive. Still the dialogue is corny, and so is the dramatic music while nothing really happens. Also why the are they introducing alternate timelines? The original story is very neat because there is only one timeline, and no others can be looked into because they don't exist.
@xaoz2362 no, there are not. Mikasa Lost Girls is not canon, and is only an imagined reality anyway. Eren saying "I tried over and over. My memories of the future could never be changed" is not talking about looking through alternate timelines like Dr Strange. It means he tried to avoid taking certain events he had forseen, but his desires/nature compel him to go through with them anyway. For example saving Ramzi from the 3 men: he had forseen this event, tried to walk away, but couldn't resist going back to save him. Is there some other evidence of multiple timelines you know of?
I worked as a colorist on one of the trailers, but stuff came up in my life and I had to drop out of the project. I am so happy to see it come out and come out so well!

I hope everyone enjoys AoT: Requiem. I had fun shading / colouring the genga for the scene of Eren from behind with his hair and clothes flowing in the wind, ( it’s in the thumbnail on the far left ) 12:42 It was my first time working with an animation studio and I made a lot of mistakes and some that were a bit too late to fix, But I learned a lot and no joke I apologised to the director at least 20 times :’) it was a bit stressful as I worked on the very last day, jan 15th but I’m glad to have worked on this project it was fun. ＋respect the studio staff and animators, new studios can’t always predict exact deadlines as they need experience to tell that, so those that were upset that its late, please note I spent 10 hrs straight for 11 frames and I was just filling the animation with colors and shading making sure nothing was see threw, all filled and that the colors were right. So imagine the animators that do the genga and inbetweens and how long that must take, especially the directors that work hard to manage everything from the sound, voice acting, animation, story and everything else. So say thanks to those who worked on this and support them they are all in the credits.

Attack on Titan is the most impactful work of my life, and you have no idea how excited I was watching this. I’m part of the group that loved the ending of Attack on Titan and would defend it against any criticism from those who didn’t. As a fan, I was as thrilled with this chapter as I was the first time I watched AoT. Please, don’t abandon this project. Every second of waiting was worth it. I was expecting something amazing, but you delivered something far beyond what I imagined, bringing back that magical feeling I had when I first watched Attack on Titan.
On *BLOOD* this fan animation project is actually magnificent. You all took your time cooking in the kitchen and served us a course meal of peak fiction.
Dude... the Voice acting, The visuals, the sound effects. Youve made something really special here, Ive loved attack on titan for years now and this feels as genuine as possible.
NO WORDS, I was in shock watching the quaity of this omg I always wanted the full anime by WIT Studio and this is the closest I'm going to get because seriously, the drawing style is perfect and so similar to WIT. Every detail was perfectly cared for.
“Eren is a slave to Freedom” is the stupidest statement ever when the entire core lesson from AoT is that Freedom is a right that all people deserve, and Eren fought for that right. Are people in real life who are oppressed slaves to freedom because they want to live freely and without oppression?

This statement can be traced back to Kenny and his cynical point of view on life; saying that everyone is a slave to something, and he even includes family. Most people wouldn't think the attributes Kenny lists as being a slave or drunk on something. Most people willing chose to follow these choices and call it something else; devotion, sacrifice, love, etc. From one perspective it's seen as Kenny's cynicism on life, as violence was only thing he knew.

His most primal freedom is tied to the idea of an unoccupied world as he imagined it; that’s what "slave to freedom" refers to. He can’t let that desire, that all-consuming larger-than-life interpretation of freedom go. It has nothing to do with Eren’s more politically-charged motivations.

Good work guys!! Ever since the manga concluded I lost the spark and love I had for aot after following the monthly chapters for years…this finally reignited that spark. The Eren who was disappointed in humanity existing because they’re the ones who are denying him and his people his freedom is back, not the one who was a selfish genocidal guy who wanted to flatten the world like Armin’s book (when in reality he didn’t even care about Armin’s book just the right to be able to see and dream about those places), thank you for giving me a glimpse of him one last time.

The adbreak info-prompts were my favourite. They were full of insights & the same format concretely explains ymir's situation. In anime, it looked like she just gave up & passed the power to eren. Here, it's like she found a new purpose by serving eren & trusting him to save her "children"
Firstly, this is absolute kino. Secondly, this better silence everyone who called Studio Eclypse "scammers" over the past few months. Thirdly, you guys have done amazing! I'm even a little sad that you won't adapt the other chapters, but I can't wait to see the other animations the studio can bring to us. Either with Berserk, or any other project you guys take from now on.

I hadn’t realized before that Zeke treated Ymir as a means to an end, just like his father treated him. And he just couldn’t see how he was doing that while he was doing it. Great writing.

Dude I think if this was official this would be in imdb's list of aot top rated episodes of all time. The VA's in this are amazing, all of them. Eren's va towards the end truly does the job showing eren's insightfulness about the different outcomes as well as his insurmountable resolve. I think it's hard to capture both sides of a character like that but he pulled it off. Eren is shown shedding a few tears at seeing Carla trapped under the rubble, very nice touch. Eren doesn't say "until my enemies are destroyed" like he does in the aotnr manga, which I find interesting. The sound fx team did an amazing job, they really set the tone for how weighty and the "this is it, aot has come to this, this is the finale" feeling that this episode sets so incredibly well. Just need a few scenes where a character is audibly speaking and their mouths are not moving need to be redone. In the freedom scene between adult and young eren, eren's face lingers on the screen a bit too long as young eren is asking if Ymir is free. A couple scenes where the music is slightly too loud over the voice. A remaster within the extended scenes version to be released would be great. Again, i believe this episode would crack idmb's top aot episodes of all time list. It's hard to believe im saying all this about a fan animation, but it is true. pat yourselves on the back, studio eclypse.

This is a Fan made Studio imagine what could happen in 3 or 4 years if they got financiall support by an investor. We need all the chapters.. we will wait for years, but we are ready to wait. We are ready to support with money if necessary. The animation is very beautifully done. Yes, there are problems in places, but considering that this is the studio's first experience, I I can forgive them. That's why I would like to see the rest of the chapters)
I get its a daring effort as something made by non pros. But with all due respect, and I mean it especially with the intro sequence and the Ymir sequences are stunning, this really made me appreciate the work of Mappa not just in animation - but how they adapt the Manga narrative into effective screenplay and writing for episodal story telling. Hate to be the critic but this was a massive exposition dump with the character just melodramatically reciting information into the open.. barely any interaction or non exposition related dialogue. Too many stakes and payoffs mentioned completely reliant of knowing what we know, but not establishinng any in screen story telling to drive yhe narrative or exposition. Admirable effort! But strong visual stories are made with good storytelling foundation: dialogue writing and screenplay, regardless of how amazing the source material ☺️
I agree, but people are going to hype this up anyways just because they hate the OG ending. I encourage people to be passionate & to continue making fan-made projects, but they're always so overhyped, I'm always left disappointed. I've seen tons of fan-made of Spiderman, Batman, etc. that gets so many "likes" & positive comments, but they really weren't that good. Like if they actually got released into theaters or on TV, they would get torn up by critics. The most recent one I saw was the Batman Beyond fan-made film a couple months ago. It literally had no story to it, Batman goes to a crime scene & gets beat up, the bad guys get away, then Bruce tells Terry not to pursue them & it ends. Like what's the point? Lmao. Feels like these people just want to show off their visuals but aren't capable of writing a good script. To give this AOT Requiem the benefit of the doubt, maybe it's a budget constraint. I feel like they are avoiding having characters move too much, because it looks bad. Most of the shots are just close ups, face shots, or long shots without much movement. If they make future episodes, I wouldn't be surprised if it's more of the same & not much else happens.
Hard to believe this was fan made. Major props to everyone on the team that constructed this masterpiece… well well well done, had me on the edge of my toilet the whole time! Wait what?

I was not expecting this, at all, genuinely in awe at what I just watched. This was so unbelievably beautifully INTENSE. It felt like an explosion of passion on the screen for 14 minutes. The transitions at 4:00 and 6:54 felt like something Zimmerman would have created. The wait was more than worth it, thank you studio eclypse, thank you aotnr, thank you k-lionheart, thank you to everyone who worked on this, please can we get the releases of the osts used here especially the 0sk rendition. I’m about to watch this 5 times in a row. Eclypse, you guys must consider animating part 2 AT LEAST. Anyway, cheers to this legendary piece of art on our screens. 💯. Amazing stuff yall, AMAZING stuff.
It must be said, When a studio is composed by people who love the content they produce, we got a absolute astonishing result. It requires true motivation to keep a project like this, it's the fight of the ones who admire a work, wishing to honor the production that inspired them so much. It's absolutely fantastic and inspiring to see you guys working so hard to make this real. I've seen very few group of fans gather to make such a thing.

Extremely well animated and highly engaging, props to the animation team as I can clearly see the love they have for both Isayama’s work and the Attack no requiem team 👏🏻 for people up in arms, try to view this fan man project as an alternative universe ending . The canon material still exist at the end of the day, this is just something the fans created for themselves so let’s not be disrespectful and rude as this is quite a common fandom thing even if you don’t agree with it .

I must the say that the animation quality is so good. It reminds me of the animation style of the 1st season of aot. It's a shame that this project has not got the level of recognition it deserves. Ever since the manga concluded I lost the spark and love I had for aot after following the monthly chapters for years…this finally reignited that spark.
The Eren who was disappointed in humanity existing because they’re the ones who are denying him and his people his freedom is back, not the one who was a selfish genocidal guy who wanted to flatten the world like Armin’s book (when in reality he didn’t even care about Armin’s book just the right to be able to see and dream about those places), thank you for giving me a glimpse of him one last time.
Yeah this episode made it feel like 2019 aot again
what is the difference
For everyone watching this, Eren is absolutely right. If you don't stand for anything, you're going to keep living in someone else's world. So many people _say_ they believe in something, but they're not willing to fight for it. Which means they don't _really_ believe in it. Muslims are willing to defend Muhammad, but Christians won't defend Christ. The history of humanity has been about entire groups of people getting wiped out. All you have in this life are your family and your people. Jews understood this. That's why they win. Look at Julius Caesar, Vladimir Lenin, Che Guevara, Malcolm X, Ayatollah Khomeini, Ted Kaczynski, Luigi Mangione...We don't know if there's an afterlife. We don't even know where we came from before we were born. So if you knew you only had this life...What would you do? Why do _you_ keep playing by the rules made by people that don't _like_ us? I'll finish with a quote from Eren: “If you win, you live. If you lose, you die. If you don’t fight, you can’t win!”

The adbreak info-prompts were my favourite. They were full of insights & the same format concretely explains ymir's situation. In anime, it looked like she just gave up & passed the power to eren. Here, it's like she found a new purpose by serving eren & trusting him to save her "children"

Secondly, this better silence everyone who called Studio Eclypse "scammers" over the past few months.
Thirdly, you guys have done amazing! I'm even a little sad that you won't adapt the other chapters, but I can't wait to see the other animations the studio can bring to us. Either with Berserk, or any other project you guys take from now on.
Apparently, the people who made this and the people who did the berserk fan trailer are two separate teams with basically no overlap
Patients and passion are the reasons we are humans are always blessed with such great things. And THIS is just another example of that and it is beautiful!!!

Dude I think if this was official this would be in imdb's list of aot top rated episodes of all time.
The VA's in this are amazing, all of them. Eren's va towards the end truly does the job showing eren's insightfulness about the different outcomes as well as his insurmountable resolve. I think it's hard to capture both sides of a character like that but he pulled it off.
Eren is shown shedding a few tears at seeing Carla trapped under the rubble, very nice touch.
Eren doesn't say "until my enemies are destroyed" like he does in the aotnr manga, which I find interesting.
The sound fx team did an amazing job, they really set the tone for how weighty and the "this is it, aot has come to this, this is the finale" feeling that this episode sets so incredibly well.
Just need a few scenes where a character is audibly speaking and their mouths are not moving need to be redone.
In the freedom scene between adult and young eren, eren's face lingers on the screen a bit too long as young eren is asking if Ymir is free.
A couple scenes where the music is slightly too loud over the voice.
A remaster within the extended scenes version to be released would be great.
Again, i believe this episode would crack idmb's top aot episodes of all time list. It's hard to believe im saying all this about a fan animation, but it is true. pat yourselves on the back, studio eclypse.

I would like to see the revelation from Chapter 2 animated.
I get its a daring effort as something made by non pros. But with all due respect, and I mean it especially with the intro sequence and the Ymir sequences are stunning, this really made me appreciate the work of Mappa not just in animation - but how they adapt the Manga narrative into effective screenplay and writing for episodal story telling.
Hate to be the critic but this was a massive exposition dump with the character just melodramatically reciting information into the open.. barely any interaction or non exposition related dialogue. Too many stakes and payoffs mentioned completely reliant of knowing what we know, but not establishinng any in screen story telling to drive yhe narrative or exposition.
Admirable effort! But strong visual stories are made with good storytelling foundation: dialogue writing and screenplay, regardless of how amazing the source material ☺️
I agree, but people are going to hype this up anyways just because they hate the OG ending. I encourage people to be passionate & to continue making fan-made projects, but they're always so overhyped, I'm always left disappointed. I've seen tons of fan-made of Spiderman, Batman, etc. that gets so many "likes" & positive comments, but they really weren't that good. Like if they actually got released into theaters or on TV, they would get torn up by critics. The most recent one I saw was the Batman Beyond fan-made film a couple months ago. It literally had no story to it, Batman goes to a crime scene & gets beat up, the bad guys get away, then Bruce tells Terry not to pursue them & it ends. Like what's the point? Lmao. Feels like these people just want to show off their visuals but aren't capable of writing a good script.
To give this AOT Requiem the benefit of the doubt, maybe it's a budget constraint. I feel like they are avoiding having characters move too much, because it looks bad. Most of the shots are just close ups, face shots, or long shots without much movement. If they make future episodes, I wouldn't be surprised if it's more of the same & not much else happens.
Hard to believe this was fan made. Major props to everyone on the team that constructed this masterpiece… well well well done, had me on the edge of my toilet the whole time!

I was not expecting this, at all, genuinely in awe at what I just watched. This was so unbelievably beautifully INTENSE. It felt like an explosion of passion on the screen for 14 minutes. The transitions at 4:00 and 6:54 felt like something Zimmerman would have created. The wait was more than worth it, thank you studio eclypse, thank you aotnr, thank you k-lionheart, thank you to everyone who worked on this, please can we get the releases of the osts used here especially the 0sk rendition.

It must be said, When a studio is composed by people who love the content they produce, we got a absolute astonishing result. It requires true motivation to keep a project like this, it's the fight of the ones who admire a work, wishing to honor the production that inspired them so much. It's absolutely fantastic and inspiring to see you guys working so hard to make this real. I've seen very few group of fans gather to make such a thing.
This was so freaking amazing you all did a hell of a job. Chills down my spine while i watched this. Thank you for giving the fans hope and thank you everyone involved in this you all deserve the praise. To think a bunch of talented fans came together for this passion project is insane! Extremely well animated and highly engaging, props to the animation team as I can clearly see the love they have for both Isayama’s work and the Attack no requiem team 👏🏻 for people up in arms, try to view this fan man project as an alternative universe ending . The canon material still exist at the end of the day, this is just something the fans created for themselves so let’s not be disrespectful and rude as this is quite a common fandom thing even if you don’t agree with it .
