The Warning do cover of this Metal song and changed it into Church song, this Muslim ladies cover this Metal song and do it more Metal than Metallica did.... 🤣🤣🤣
Well... it can be said that the VOB live version of Enter Sandman is better than the original in some segments... at least for me... and even if it's not better, it's certainly the best cover of that song that I've heard
barefoot is Sitti's habit, it's start from she.learned drumming, when she's in junior high school, because she didn't want their studio dirty with her shoes , it's funny but that's the story, and today it's becomes her habit dan trademark, fans call her the power of "nyeker" (barefoot)
And if you want to watch a supercool version of The Enemy of Earth is You, with Marsya being a total rockstar (complete with wagging tongue and even an Angus Young "duck walk" at the end), check this out: ruclips.net/video/1H8KmHBiSBw/видео.htmlfeature=shared&t=5125 (and actually the whole performance is great, six songs, but hardly anyone ever reacts to any of it...)
Thanks for supporting vob. Still some out there: - Kawani - Mighty Island - Sabotage Live in Taiwan - (Not) public property - Testify - Master Of Puppets - The enemy of earth is you
If you search youtube for this: Revision Archives Story Behind (VOB) Voice of Baceprot [Nadia Yustina] you should find a very good interview with them (it's in Bahasa Indonesia with English captions) Another good interview is: Loudwire Voice Baceprot - Rock + Metal Brings Is Closer to God This kinda stuff may not be reaction material (although a few reactors have definitely done VoB interviews), but if you're really interested in the band and their personalities, it's a good place to start. Nadia Yustina gave them some coaching on interacting with overseas audiences - introducing themselves, using a local phrase or two, getting the audience involved in the song. I'd say they learned pretty well. Or maybe they're just naturals and knew what to do once they got a little information on the audience. Yeah, many reactors have complained about seeing Widi's fingers flying in this piece and not being able to hear the bass well. The combination of techniques she's using there looks very similar to some stuff I've seen Les Claypool do (one reactor even said "finally, a female Les Claypool") A fun, goofy video that also shows aspects of their personalities: Voice of Baceprot VOB meets Tom Morello (this is a recording of a zoom call with Tom Morello and VoB)
Hi Robert, outstanding interview with them (in English) was just posted on YT earlier today. I tried leaving you the link, but my replies to you with links never seem to work. I've posted the link in a comment above (it's on the Haqq YT Channel).
Hey MK and thanks for more VOB! Being governed by the "politeness norms" of their religion/culture, offstage they are usually very humble, reserved, and respectful (except for some interviews in Indonesia where they've lost it in fits of giggles). Onstage though, they are free to unleash and show a different side. Drumming barefoot or with socks is fairly common, done for "feel" (and in the beginning of this concert, Siti originally had socks on, then took them off). As to the recorded sound, agreed, not the most distinct. A Japanese record label will be releasing this song on a re-release of their LP Retas later this summer, on both CD and vinyl (finally), and it will be interesting to see if they remix/eq it.
@bw1342 about a Japanese record will releasing CD and LP Retas album, i send direct message to Marsya VOB and asking her is the release officially from VOB, she answer that VOB Band didn't get any information about that.
@@remahrengginanghungkul477 Hello Remah, interesting that VOB doesn't know about the release! Perhaps it was a deal made through 12Wired? P-Vine Records is an independent record label with the largest number of catalogs in Japan, since 1975. They are advertising the release openly, on their website and on Bandcamp, so they must have gotten the permission from someone involved with the record!
@@bw1342 yup, i ask same question to Abah Erza and he answer didn't about that release. for me it still not fair if someone or some company have deal to release CD and LP Retas album without get permission or confirmation wiith VOB band first, they write all songs except enter sandman, they still have rights about royalti, performace etc.
@@remahrengginanghungkul477 I totally agree that the band should be informed about these decisions, it is just common courtesy and respect! I believe that 12 Wired holds all the rights to Retas, so I think legally they can do what they want with it, but I don't know if VOB and 12Wired are on good terms anymore (or even speak to each other). Nadia Y would know about this for sure... Does Erza or Dinya speak with Nadia anymore?
Is it possible for a pianist to play the piano correctly while wearing hand gloves? Drumming barefoot can increase control direct connection between your feet & the pedals and also feeling the vibrations of the drums more intensely, which helping develop a stronger sense of timing and rhythm (particular in high speed). VoB third Europe tour will be in June 2024 Glastonburry Uk
As for songs you haven't done yet, they have three other official music videos, God Allow Me (Please) to Play Music (the song/video that really put them on the map), (Not) Public Property, and PMS (their most poppy/accessible song). And one official live-in-studio release, The Other Side of Metalism (their most recent and rawest). And there are many live videos of their other original songs (they actually have lots of originals, they just don't get played much...).
Bagaimana tidak semangkin gila dan stres ! Musisi Malaysia apabila melihat musisi musisi Indonesia ! Memang tidak terbantahkan ! Seperti langit dan bumi , Eropa bro !
@DadDaughtersandDrinks I don't know why this drummer plays barefoot, but I live in Southeast Asia and people are always barefoot in homes and in many businesses. I have already seen musicians in the studio or in concert playing barefoot or with socks...😀
Your reaction is extraordinary, sir. Next, please check the song Bohemian Rhapshody covered by Alip Ba Ta with only 1 guitar but the playing is equivalent to 1 band. This is what makes many react to Alip Ba Ta. please check alip ba ta thank you
Thank you! And I've already unfortunately watched Alip Ba Ta play Bohemian Rhapsody long before I started reacting on RUclips so I couldn't do an honest reaction to that. If there are any other Alip Ba Ta songs you'd like me to react to, please let me know! The only other one I can think of I watched him play was Sweet Child of Mine.
I can see why you might want to, but I don't think that's a comparison I want to make. Even though there are some similarities (all female trios where English is a second language that play rock music; to my knowledge VOB aren't sisters though), I still find the styles to be very different (even with songs like this where both bands have covered it). There are things I could call out as differences, but I'm afraid some people might think I'm saying one or the other is better and I'd rather not do that (since I really like both bands!)
A new difference is the profile of the two bands. I was pretty surprised by the price of tickets for TW in the States and Mexico now. I’m glad I got to see them a couple of times in England and I’ll be going to Dublin in July. The prices were in the twenties (pounds and euros) in Canada and the States some of them up near $100, while Mexico seems to be four times that. I don’t know if that’s a mistake by the ticket agents, but it seems pretty steep. A ticket for VOB in London is still only £22. Still, if VOB keep getting exposure on sites like yours maybe they’ll get the same sort of rise to fame.
You really would enjoy their interviews. These are good people.
Start from a small village near Garut West Indonesia, these young ladies show their talent.
Now they are become international rock band.
