- Charted at #10 on Billboard Best Selling Pop Singles chart in August 1950. Hugo had one of the most beautiful orchestra and choruses of the time, and this recording provides a good example. Released as the B-side of "The Flying Dutchman", but "Count Every Star" was the hit. Other versions of this song to chart in 1950 include: #4 for Ray Anthony and His Orchestra and #10 for Dick Haymes and Artie Shaw. Later charting remakes: #73 for The Rivieras in 1958, #35 for Donnie and the Dreamers in 1961 and #41 Billboard Hot 100 (#10 Adult Contemporary) for Linda Scott in 1962.
This recording was later included on the 1956 LP in the photo.
