I don't agree with white or black we all grew up together as Americans. Both poor and rich. Yes there has all been brought up different but we are all the same. I think this applies for anyone. If you don’t do the work you will not have the success. Also, I don’t think all success has to do with money.
To start from the bottom and make it to the 'top' requires, out the box thinking. But, thinking outside the box, is not as common as we'd like it to be.
Many generations came from the bottom, and from examples of attempts to make it out, being shut down, many, unfortunately, accepted their situation, just to survive.
Not saying it's an excuse but, it's easier to make it through the day, than chasing, what they would call, 'pipe dreams'.
And that mindset (unfortunately), is passed on from generation to generation...
For every diamond you'd find, it's surrounded by a mountain of coal...
