hello sir, sorry I want to ask something, can the 1:10 2wd buggy diff gear be applied to the rdx to replace the kit's default lockdiff? examples like yokomo yz2, xray xb2 & team associated b6.1? Thank you in advance for your attention & answers🙏
Thanks for the great video. Just built mine and this really helped...Mine came as the light weight version with a plastic gear and diff covers....Not sure how that will hold up but time will tell. I did order an aluminum gear to change out if needed. What would be the recommendation for a Carpet track set up... 4 or 8 gear?
Same with mine. I am pretty sure that for mine, the gears laying flat against the springs are catching. I honestly thought about holding them against a wheel sander just to take it down a hair so its below the plastic.
@@wolfken3812 No I don’t. I have held one wheel in my hand and increased RPMs until I could feel it start to lock up and spin but not a very scientific way of testing that.
@@zalingonzalez3351 Any metal on metal anti-wear grease should be suitable. I have used this grease before just fine. www.rollinggaragerc.com/product/protek-rc-premier-white-friction-noise-reducing-gear-grease-lubricant-10ml-ptk-1412/2368?cp=true&sa=false&sbp=false&q=true
I have a issue where one of the pins keeps falling out after about 30 minutes into driving, I built it correctly but it’s keeps happening do you know anything I can do to stop this?
Apparently the first batch of LSDs came with gaskets but batches after that did not, giving the impression that these are not supposed to be oil filled differentials but thanks for the feedback! - Mitch
Define ovely cruncy pls. Mine is rotating smooth but if i hold one cup and spin the diff i can definetly feel the teeth, not binding or anything i can just feel them like on a bevel gear diff
What about the gaskets that come with the plastic bigger gear? Do you not need a gasket because you got plastic on metal? I got plastic on plastic thanks in advance
great video and explanation I have in both of my Galm's a C-LSD and really like the way they work and drive

I've just built mine and it is really crunchy! I've rebuilt it a few times now, always with 8 gear hard and i cant get it smooth. Any advice?

@@johnleekennedy I'll split mine and take a look at the internals. I'm wondering if a thin shim between the springs and gears will help?
What type of grease can I use?
Does this diff work in yokomo MD cars?
do you have any data on the wheel rpm range where the c-lsd will lock with soft or hard springs? many thanks in advance

What drive cup protector you use for it? Nice video
Can I use any diff grease for this diff?

For the cups
I tried adding gear oil in my rhino c-lsd and lock engagement is alot smoother but kit doesn't come with gaskets so I used yokomo gaskets

Mine does the same thing and I just built it with some light grease on the gears...I am assuming it is normal but would like to know as well.
@@MrBratius i used oil in mine. Not a full fill and verry light oil just for lubrication
Thanks for making this video man! Helped me so much!
Hell of a how to video. I learned from it and I thank you for the info.
Glad it could help you out! - Mitch

Super helpful !!
Yep, that definitely help. Might consider rebuilding mine now to switch up somethings. Thanks Mitch 🤙🏾

It’s good, still got full contact on the idler gear 😂 - Mitch
