Yeah its up there somewhere haha, we are goin to the Smoky mountain jeep invasion on the 27th so we decided to go up early and run WindRock on that Friday. Should be a good time.
Thanks! And he is running the Bestop Trek top NX, just with the back windows taken out. the same top the Anvil and orange jeep is running. It coverts to a bikini top as well as a fastback soft top.
Joshua Steelmon thank you ! It sucks I've been looking for an easy on easy off safari style top to put on when I go away wheeling for the weekend and can't find any good options out there ... That's a great top but pricey and from what I heard not easy to just take off
Not sure if either jeep is your daily driver but jc, what is your mpg with the 4:10 gear ratio and what does your friend in the yellow jeep get? did he regear? i want to get 37s but my jeep is my daily driver and being an auotmatic 2015 model from what i have been told from the yukon and etc. i should go with the 4.56..if it was my weekend toy though i would prob go 4.88 or maybe even a tad higher.
I drive mine a lot but its not my daily, I do drive it to work all interstate 45 min sometimes and I'm running the factory 4.10 gears still and it does great. My buddy in the yellow jeep, that is his daily and he run 4.88s. He thinks its just right. Hell I ran 5.13s in my 09 JKU I had before with 37s and it was a 6speed. 5.13 was a bit much for hwy but it still was about 2800rpm at 70 mph. I know a lot of people that daily drive their jeeps with 4.88s and 37s. Sorry for the late response, been at jeep beach haha
Matt Sanders ever jeep there was aired down....I drove the Anvil and orange jeep and I was at 13psi. as for the other guys I'm not sure their exact pressure but I know it was around 15psi. The yellow jeep didn't have lockers at the time. maybe that's what your referring to as for slipping.
Alex Watts Umm I believe at that time I had rims with 3.5 inch backspacing and a 1.25 inch spacer. That's or 1.5 inch I can't really remember. It's been a while since I had that set up. I went to true headlock wheels and didn't need the spacer after that, and now I just did an axle swap and definitely don't need the spacers haha
Really its all about your preference, if you want more of an LCG build (lower center of gravity) or if you want more ground clearance. All 3 will fit 37s just fine with flat fenders and the right bump stops. What you want to do with your jeep plays a big part in what size lift you need also. It also comes down to the look aswell. I know for my rig, wich is the Anvil and orange one, I knew I was going to be doing a lot of Rockcrawling so I wanted more ground clearance. Ive had a JkU with a 2.5, 3.5 and now 4inch lift. I had 35s with the 2.5 and then 37s with the 3.5 and 4. Ive felt most comfortable in the rig I have now with 4inch and 37s just because it makes it a little bit easier to pic lines because you k now you have that clearance. but if you decide to go 4inch or even 3.5 there are other issues that arise such as exhaust spacers so your driveshaft wont hit and a new front drive shaft soon after that. You'll really need adjustable control arms aswell to help with the caster angles also. And adjustable track bars or atleast raised track bar brackets to help center the axle with that much lift. When you lift a a jeep that high it thruws all the geometry off and you need those things to fix it correctly so you don't have more problems down the road. Hope you enjoyed the video and I hope this helps.
Also, if your going to run 37s, your going to need to strengthen your axels a bit aswell. I have a Rubicon witht he dana 44s and I did Artec industries front C-Gussets and truss with 10 factory Chromoly axle shafts and did Chromoly axle shafts in the rear axle aswell. If you have a Sport or a Sahara with the Dana 30 axle up front your going to at the very least need to do the C-Gussets even if you only want to drive on the road, and I would look into a truss and or axle sleeves and Chromoly shafts if your wanting to take it off road on 37s. The Dana 30 definatly not as strong as the 44 and I did all that to mine.
+Joshua Steelmon Hey awesome video thanks for the information very much appreciated. I went with a 3" list adjustable track bar and longer arms just to get the geometry back. I also went with 35's that way I didn't have to regear. The reason I didn't go 4" is I did want to buy custom drive shafts. Overall I'm really happy with my lift.
Awesome man, glad to hear it. Long arms are the way to go if a person can. My future plans include Evo Long arms and EVO double throw down coilover system. Dana 60 axles and 40inch tires. Well when the wife lets me that is haha
+Joshua Steelmon I think that set up is way cool, but for me it's not practical as mine is also a daily driver. But what you mentioned definitely sounds super fun. Maybe when you get it built you'll post a new video.
well the Anvil and orange Rubicon is mine, and on my Dana 44s I have the Artec Industries front truss and C-Gussets with 10Factory Chromoly axle shafts, also have Chromos on the rear aswell. Haven't regeared yet because the 4:10s don't feel that bad at all to me. but I'm going to 4:88 at some point. I don't know if that will happen first or if I will have my 60's before I get around to the regear.
Alex Watts Well, the 2 jeeps that I said had lockers are Rubicon's, so they come with factory E-Lockers, so far they have worked pretty well for me. the Yellow jeep and my old black Jeep we put Eaton E-Lockers in them and I loved those. A buddy has ARB Air lockers in his and those are really good as well. All are selectable so you can turn them on and off when you need them. Wich is the way to go if you drive on the street at all.
Hi, ı'm going to put 37's(km2) with 4' or 3.5' inch lift on my jk rubicon.I will use my jeep 20% soft offroad 80% on road.Do ı need to change my axles or something else ?
Jeep is looking better and better every video!! Good wheelin up Daniel, made it look too easy
Thanks man, we are going to Windrock at the end of this month. I hope to get some good video from there also!
+Joshua Steelmon Great! That's on the other side of Knoxville TN right??
Yeah its up there somewhere haha, we are goin to the Smoky mountain jeep invasion on the 27th so we decided to go up early and run WindRock on that Friday. Should be a good time.
Très belle vidéo sur ces Jeep sur terrain extrême! merci
Great video thanks for sharing !! What top was the yellow jeep running ?

What kind of lift was on the red jk? Teraflex? AEV?
Giorgio Ramirez I'm pretty sure he's running two and a half inch Teraflex coils with Rancho control arms and fox reservoir shocks.
Did you guys air down at all? If you aired down you wouldnt be slipping half as much

Every**
On the anvil 4" lift what size wheel spacers do you have on the 37s

did yall have lockers.on em
Alex Watts Yeah, the burgundy jeep and the Anvil and orange jeep does. the Yellow jeep didn't at the time, but he does now.
So all 3 have 37's the lifts are 2.5, 3, and 4. Of the 3 which lift does the best with the 37's?

Joshua Steelmon awesome thanks. Sick jeeps by the way.

probably not.. but what is your idea of soft off-roading... ? Your jeep will be much more sluggish and it will probably be better to go Ko2's
