Its nice to finally get something on this side of town. Fun little lapable line. I was just there today for a lunch loop. Lots of kids sessioning. Wish they could have done more like paradise and built multiple lines, but they did great with the space they had!
Yeah it’s great in the space allotted, but I’d like more too! I feel like these types of lines could be dropped in just about anywhere: Elm, Murphy, Leb…. Should be the norm 🤘. I really do like how sessionable it is though!
I started riding Carver like 7 years ago now. I live minutes away. Even just prior to covid there were almost no features there. It was like 99% flow without any jumps. The skills park is new, the jump track is new. They've added a bunch of optional lines with more technical stuff. It is a great little park that takes like a half hour to do a full loop, and you can easily repeat smaller sections unlike many of the other, bigger, parks.
Nice vid! How would you say these compare to the Cottage Grove park jumps if you have been (the easier lines)? I struggle on steep incline jumps and looking for a way to work my way up to bigger and better.
These have fairly steep inclines, but they are table tops so you can take it slow until you’ve built up confidence. Actually never been to Cottage Grove, heard a lot about it though, I gotta check that out!
Nice! Cottage grove is definitely more for BMX. Really steep jump faces if you ride the advanced lines, or bigger gaps in some cases. I haven't bene there in a few years, though, and I know they have added a lot.
What's the name of this trail? I have been to Carver a couple of times but have not seen this jump line. Where is it located? What's the name of the trail?
I’m honestly not sure that it has a name. It’s not on Trailforks yet either unfortunately… It’s just a small loop right by the skills course. West side of the skills course.
@wakebtw there’s a place called Localized in Afton that looks incredible. Different type of a place, need to reserve a time slot, but that likely means it won’t be too busy. Check it out: www.localizedpark.com
Funnny you caught me on the full suspension bmx that day!
Yeah man that bike is sweet! It was good talking with you, hope you’re enjoying the new jump line!

Yeah great place!
It's nice to see more advanced trails coming to the cities.
Heck yeah it is!!

That’s awesome! A lot of work being done at local trails the last few years.
Nice job on those skinnys
Thanks! 😅. There were more there than I anticipated
Rode these a couple weeks back; Fun little set!
Yeah it is! I need to get there more!

These are steeper than most but not like the CG bmx lines. CG did add a new section thats more mtb style fyi.
Good video
Thanks!
Just work on pumping the transitions and you'll clear them easily! Sick vid to🤘
Thanks!! Yeah I’ll keep working on it - this is fairly close by so now I can! 😁

I have the same trouble, can’t build enough speed for the later jumps. Feel like it’s a design flaw.
Some people can clear it all for sure, but that last one is so dang tough.
i think its about popping higher and coming into the landing with more speed. rock a few hard peddles and ur good
Cottage Grove Bike Park has way more challenging lines than Carver.
Do you know of anything with bigger jumps then cottage grove?
