I'm a bit older than you and I can tell you that a lot of us middle aged people are just as excited, if not more. We were around when Mario first came into existence and watched his whole evolution. There are so many things from our childhood that are coming to life in ways we never would have imagined. So exciting.
I like that you show your emotions. I cried the first time I walked into Hogsmeade at Universal Orlando. I also lost my sh*t the first time I saw Jurassic Park entrance at Islands, and Diagon Ally. Also got wowed out at Pandora in Disney. So yeah, I tend to be emo when it comes to fantastic theme park creations. Kudos for you having fun and letting your kid flag fly.
Glad you had such a great time! I think this is something more for my kids though I loved Mario Kart 64 and Mario 64 as much as any millennial kid. I just don't understand the point of collecting coins. Is there a prize for different levels? It seems the world doesn't actually have that much to do other than collect coins and 'stamps' so I guess I don't get the point. And paying an extra $40 for the bands to participate in the only real main point of the park seems excessive. Without the bands, how much is there actually to do? And I would be Team Yoshi all the way.
This looks like a blast! I’ll be planning a trip maybe next year to head out there. Hopefully I can plan it as a surprise weekend getaway for my husband. He loves Nintendo and I bet he’d go crazy for this!

I had to fast forward through most of this video...because SPOILERS!...I am really curious how "fat friendly"the Mario cart ride is...I really want to go so bad but heard there is a 40 inch waist restriction....Did you have any problems? You are close to my husband's size...having been turned away from rides at other parks I am really worried about spending the money to make this trip just to have him turned away from the whole reason we will be going. Thanks

Those mushroom bowls should be an item you can buy at the 1-Up Factory. They are ther perfect bowl for cookies and other snacks!
