Poor Airier forgot about the Emperor's "Black Ships", that come along and take away all the psykers from worlds, never to be seen again most likely. And what happens on those ships is best left unsaid, if you're lucky you become a sacrifice to the Emperor.
I think theres a bit of a misunderstanding here. Bricky was talking about the _Factions_ of Warhammer 40k (The topic of the video). Every faction you can play in 40k is Evil in one, way, shape, or form. The closest you get to are the Tyranids, since they're closer to the Neutral side of the scale. Sure, _Individuals_ could be good. But the faction as a whole? Not a chance. .... the Game over quote is from Aliens. 😂
Horus soul was obliterated by the emporer intentionally. He cant be brought back. Iirc gw has even made this clear. The chaos gods iirc even lifted their influence over him to make his death worse for big e so there is no "uncorrupted shard". Fabius cant even make clones of horus yet made 1 of fulgrim.
If the numbers 40K used were "realistic," there would be something like ten THOUSAND chapters of Space Marines, IG would have army groups numbering in the billions, and whole worlds would be getting starved out regularly. I wish that there were more humor kept in-game, like the Space Wolf company that went missing after their Captain made them pass the periphery of the Emperor's Light, landed on a planet of beautiful, Space Marine tall, technologically advanced people who looked human...until he took a pass at one of their women and then...they all disappeared. Or the time an ork Waaagh and a regiment of IG teamed up to fight to fight Tyranids, getting quite chummy and even openly friendly as they did so, then when the 'nids were finally all killed off, the orks sheepishly, and somewhat reluctantly, betrayed the Guard. Or about the actual in-canon joke a Black Templar made to another Black Templar about an Acolyte who didn't know the proper way to use a chainsword. It seems the only times jokes are allowed are when Ciaphas Cain or Orks are involved.
I remember a really old black library book that had one of the chaos gods specifically state when he dies he’ll become a god capable of fighting them. For whatever that’s worth.
Fun but of correlation I noticed between 40k and Battletech: The Emperor created 20 Primarchs to lead 20 Legions. 2 of these Primarchs were then "unmade" as far as acknowledging their existence goes. Nicholas Kerensky selected 20 Khans to lead his 20 Clans. Before the occasion into the Inner Sphere, 2 of those Clans were unmade, Wolverine through a Trial of Annihilation, and Widowmaker through a Trial of Absorption. And, much like the Emperor, Nicholas was killed at the hands of one of his own "children," as it were. Though I'm sure Horus would've appreciated the efficacy of murdering your creator by atomizing him with a Gauss Rifle.
21:06 Take what you said about Psykers in the beginning, and I can see where Bricky’s coming from. There might be some good named characters, but in a universe this vast, they’re a rounding error. No faction *as a whole* is free from sin seems to be the point.
Is it applyes to Farsight Enclaves? Probably yes, but I want to hear your opinion on this. Also your general opinion on the best (for me) faction of Warhammer 40k - Leagues of Votann.

For the timeline, doesn't Warp travel have some really fucky interactions with time, like you can arrive at a destination before you leave for it, or get flung hundreds or thousands of years into the future?
@Airier - 40k references Dredd, not the other way; the movie reference "game over, man!" is Aliens; and if you think Guard is pricey to collect, check out the Mechanicum. Adeptus Rediculus covered that more than once. You're lucky if you get 1 point per dollar.
I still wonder if the other two primarchs might be nulls, its about the only type of warp user we have not seen as one (that i can think of anyway) and i sort of wonder if they were a third party in the battle, and the real ones that defeated both Horus and the Emperor, only to be damaged enough to necessitate going into hiding. Possibly working with a certain annoying primarch we all get headaches dealing with.
I only just realized exactly how much i want to see a Monty Python science fantasy movie(or book) thats made as an actual story (plenty of humor snuck in, but, just them making a damn good story with a universe made by them…) like, wizards and mythical beasts, but from various worlds and cultures intermingling on a space age scale… so sad now that so many of the original writers from their group are no longer writing…
Yeah, i more or less count any primark that is “dead” as “missing in action” because they are all but guaranteed to eventually return. Same with leader folks of other groups like archdemons and stuff.
You need to be carefull. The movie Starship trooper was a parody of the nono germans. The book wasn't a parody at all. The book was written as a vehicle for the government system/political ideas in the book.
They are very different beasts. The book, while being genuinely visionary on the military scifi end, is unapologetically promoting militarism and fascism as a model for a better society. The movie on the other hand is, if you think about it, not a parody as such. Rather it's a a movie that incorporates some of the same tricks that authoritarian governments and propaganda uses to essentially get you to root for the bad guys.
@@Airieri suggest u check out the book for yourself cause unfortunatly there is a split where people debate what ever the ideas on it are fascism, because people usually point to the military being an essential part of the goverment as fascist because of various reason, but from what I read people get that impression because tecnically the goverment is a direct democracy but iirc yeh right to vote is given only to thoose that serve in the military(this includes all off combat roles and everyone equals only to 1 each so yeh even if a general votes for someone they still count for 1 vote)cause the people in that world got tired of corrupted burocrats, there are still elections around but naturally only the citizen that partecipate in the military vote, but yeh I suggest to check it out for yourself cause I told u what I remember but I could be remembering some details wrong cause of how long ago I looked at it.

this video is a bit outdated, even bricky says so, and the timeline of 40k video is the more up to date version. Airier 20:50 just me i feel it is a matter of perspective and that is the charm of the setting anyone can be both the good guy or bad guy it just depends on what the player wants to be.
For the timeline, doesn't Warp travel have some really fucky interactions with time, like you can arrive at a destination before you leave for it, or get flung hundreds or thousands of years into the future?
Yup
17:39 airier I hate to say it but anytime someone brings up valkan I just hear his tts voice
VULKAN LIVES!
[STOMP STOMP]
Cadia Sands, and Krieg Power Washes.
@Airier - 40k references Dredd, not the other way; the movie reference "game over, man!" is Aliens; and if you think Guard is pricey to collect, check out the Mechanicum. Adeptus Rediculus covered that more than once. You're lucky if you get 1 point per dollar.
the Primarchs are the main characters of Warhammer. FIGHT ME
Its called 40k because there are 40k Warhammers to collect
I only picked up the first 13 and then I got too hard.
Hey Airier! I remember you since the DBZ reaction videos, nice to see get properly into 40k from bricky's perspective.
MORE BRICKY
I DEMAND IT
Yeah, i more or less count any primark that is “dead” as “missing in action” because they are all but guaranteed to eventually return. Same with leader folks of other groups like archdemons and stuff.
15:10
"definitely the humans more than anyone."
Mah Ork Boyz would like ta' disagree.
edit: added context.
You need to be carefull. The movie Starship trooper was a parody of the nono germans. The book wasn't a parody at all. The book was written as a vehicle for the government system/political ideas in the book.
Huh. Didn't know it was based on a book.
@@Johmpa Militarism sure, but Book Starship Troopers being Fascism is debatable.
@@federicofilippini6780 it definitely has some ideas in it that make you think. Like the idea of a universal right to vote and citizenship for all vs having to earn it and be willing to defend the nation for that right. It also has issues and clear flaws but it makes you think.
game over man quote is from "aliens"
love you paint work, good job
Alots of 40k lore I’ve learned is yes this how it happened…..maybe.
Also got to do the legions to complete the trifecta
9:35
I feel seen
Starship Troopers was not made as a parody of Nazi's. The book had nothing to deal with nazi's. The movie was full on parody because the director hated to book but was told to make a movie anyway. So he Made them dress up as nazi's.
The reason for Humanities hatred of all Xeno races is because Tau commander O'Shaserra "Shadowsun" broke a certain banana boy's heart. 😿
Poor Kitten.
What if the emperor is not alive and the remains are only used to keep control over humanity?
Speaking of those donation goals. Just a quick reminder that you do also have a better book on those. Maybe that could ease into it. (Hint hint).
I put the order in for the book. 😑
@Airier my condolences. I think the link to the book I donated for is still up in the suggestions channel. There are physical copies available under a different title though if your would prefer that instead.
Might I suggest watching Mikeburnfires Skyrim playthrou , Fallout New Vagas and Fallout 4 he and his friend Zach Hazard talk about their time in the military , gun rants [ in the Fallout Videos by Zach ] and just having fun
i mean commissar cain is pretty much the guy who somehow everyone likes xeno or human and has somehow done something the other races aprove
daemon princes want him on their side (since apparently slaanesh likes that he likes gambling)
Tau want him on their side
dark eldar want his soul since its gonna be BEYOND powerful according to them
the craft world eldar kinda are indebted to him
the orks respect him since he has killed plenty of warbosses
necrons is unclear since he has only met the mindless ones and not any sentient necrons
The calander was generally accurate until the Great Rift opened, now it's all out of wacks as different places have different apparent times now.
this video is a bit outdated, even bricky says so, and the timeline of 40k video is the more up to date version. Bricky does get some details wrong in his videos, not because he doesn't know, but because he's trying to simplify it since his videos are meant to be an introduction to 40k, not a deep dive.
32:40 "We are indeed, boned... But that does not mean we are super boned....." -Eldrad Ulthran.
"Gullible fuckers! Suck a wraithbone! Hahaha!" -also Eldrad Ulthran 20 seconds later.
P.S. If you're seeing this Airier, I suggest you consider checking out Stellaris Invicta, it seems up your ally
The thing about the Movie for Starship Troopers is the fact the director made it that way because the book was (from my memory thank you brain) more liking too being pro nazi? It has been years since I read it in school so take what I say as most likely not true as it is from the brain not the book.
Nah its more the fact it was very militaristic but people liken militarism to nazism but forgetting that in the book the goverment was a direct democracy in which the right to vote was given only to thoose that partecipate the military(not just soldiers but all off combat support duty count too) but yeh they are direct democracy but militarized, also the movie director made it about nazis cause he didn’t read the book at all not cause it was pro nazi
I will wait for the next w40k video
50 shades is not literature, it is a cautionary tale of what we must avoid allowing to exist in order avoid idiocracy and worse to become our present. … not that i think much can save us from that fate… nor the fact that idiocracy is probably at least better writing than 50 shades… and thats bloody sickening to think about…
you need to let Brocky talk. you pause him for a good 5 minutes to talk about how there are good guys without letting him get to it. "There can be people who can be good." People, Yes. Factions, No. so pausing multiple to repeat the same things can get annoying. your fans want to hear your opinion for example how you went on about how the primarchs are active and passive spykers.
Vulkan isn't dead
VULKAN LIVES! STOMP, STOMP! (I'm writing this as someone, who haven't watched Warhammer 40k TTS yet)
Bro, you should absolutely watch the warhammer deep dives of weshammer. He does some very good vids like this that I think you would enjoy.
Please continue reacting to the video
Xeelee sequence trumps 40k in the overpowered and needlesly grimdark department (the ICoG and the joys of child soldiers cannon fodder)
No, every faction is evil in it's own right. Individuals may vary but the groups themselves are very much evil.
I kinda forgot to continue the days soooo, I’m restarting.
day 1 of asking Airier to watch SSTWL. Watch Design first. Its by Liam Vickers.
SSTWL?
@@Airier Scary story time with liam. Its an acronym.
Edit: its not animated tho. Its more like an audio book. Hope you’re fine with that.
i did not expect to see a fellow SSTWL enjoyer here.
AKKCSHUALLY: The Video
Well... Tanith First and Only... and Cadian 101st and last ^^
Cadia sands? I guess so
Hey you wanna pause more? Barely go into the video.
36:03 Same God with different sects... Sounds like Jews, Catholics, Christians, Muslims, and Mormons. ^^*
I'm hearing a lot of HERSEY from you thins video
I request again the next wrestling video by Supereyepatchwolf
Oof. There's a misspelling in the title.
Edit: Unless it's intentional?
😎👍
more sw vs 40k when
I prefer to think that everyone in 40k is "wrong" instead of being simply "evil". Their convictions, worldview and outlook is always flawed in some way that leads to horrible things.
21 primarchs, pls bricky
20, 21, 18, 19... Stuffs complicated.
Day 31 of asking Airier for ENA reaction (if 13 is an unlikely number, I'm sure 31 is a lucky one)
