- Showing the strategy for rolling alolan raichu. This isnt the end game comp I would typically recommend for this unit, but the unit carries anyways.
Also the vid shows how impactful regionals can be and good info on how to pivot/adjust (especially end game).

Alolan Raichu is definitely one of those mons I'll skip the portals just to finish the evolution if I haven't yet, it's just that good and fun to use :)
1000% true - but i prefer to get the evolution pre portal whenever possible. I have bad luck with no portal draws xD. but still worthwhile if i cant get the evo in time
@@timmyturnthat I agree that it should be before portal or else you will fall behind in better lobbies, what is the optimal level and interest range to hyper roll for a common? Waiting until 50 gold saved to really start rolling feels too late.

basically roll down to 0 before the level 4 change. and then save money until t9/gyrados (just before level 5) and roll down again for the evolution
some people dont roll down at t4, but myself and obscuros both think its more optimal since the odds are so much higher. either way should ultimately work tho

can you explain why you generally don't position units in the front row? I usually see you just stacking in the back 2 rows
mostly laziness. offers a bit of protection and always my ranged carries to get some more damage before my weakline frontline fights. i reccommend checking out jmts positioning guide.

Did you know that you can press E over the portraits to sell without buying? I’m enjoying the vids tho man, really learning what’s busted.
The E hotkey used to be a bit bugged and could sell random units sometimes, you will see lots of the OG players not use it out of habit from accidentally selling a unique or legendary in the past xD.
Also sometimes my keyboard inputs are weird and dont register in shop. but it works everytime when i buy and sell

At 16:59 you purchase a munna and it evolves your grubbin is that a hidden ability or a mechanic I’m unaware of?
the 2 are unrelated. grubbin is a hatch unit. hatch units come from eggs (baby synergy) and evolve on their own every 5 rounds

You dont need 7 baby, or even to hold onto the synergy for more than ONE round to automatically evolve a mon like that? I never understood the mechanic until now, but thats crazy cool. Im looking at the list of all hatch mons now, and they all seem like they could be good picks. Are there any that you would never consider using though? maybe because of their synergy, or just because theyre not a very good mon in general?

i probably could, but that sound like a very difficult challenge tbh xD
unfortunately treecko line is not very good, especially as a carry.
if u absolutely want to try it, i recommend grass monster (treeko/carnivine/tangela/abomasnow/ munchlax if u get it) and give it something like pokedoll/muscle band/red orb
