Or a type of girl you would know in high school, be friend with, go to the same college after graduation, confide in her a lot about your feelings, your projects, your future, etc, with her always taking time to listen to you and be there for you and do the same thing with you, talk about you got a big crush on of your common friends, spend time talking to you on the phone, especially during stuff like, I don't know, lock down. When you're with her, you feel comfortable, almost peaceful, you enjoy those little moments she puts her heard onto your shoulder and you just talk, you like eating with during breaks, you share a lot of stuff, etc.
And then you waste everything by accidentally harming her feelings by saying something you shouldn't have told and you have a falling out and you probably won't see each other ever again. Your friendship is broken, she blocks you on the only social media you have and the phone so you can't contact her again. You just lost one of your biggest friends. After some months, she never really left your mind but you just accept you won't see her ever again and if one day you do, she won't talk to you because she made it clear you hurt her feelings.
And then two to three years later, you're at your job, clients have all been annoying the entire day, you've got multiple problems at home, you're tired like hell but you're there until 8pm so you just clean up the store with clients in the middle of it, over and over again until your team closes the store. You see her with a friend. Then she sees you and unlike what you expect, she's super happy to see you, has a bright smile, asks you many questions to know how you're doing and even calls you sweetie. You don't really understand since the last time you two talked, she made it clear she didn't want to speak to you again but here she's super happy and excited to see you. Five months later, she comes back to buy something alone this time, sees you and is once again happy to see you, calls you sweetie and her smile looks like heaven. Both times you can't talk because you're working and tons of clients are waiting in line so you can only talk for a minute or two before she disappears. And because you don't have her number anymore and have nearly zero social media and since then, you don't know where she is or even if she's still in the same city. And as of today, it's been months. And whereas you managed to, well, not forget her cause she's impossible to forget and she was one of the most important persons you ever met, you still managed to kind of let go even if you'll regret that mistake forever. But seeing her again and happy to see you at that revived all those good memories and your feelings of failure.
And you're just there, wrighting a comment about how you had one of the most amazing relationship you could ever hope for, broke it and the two times you could have patched things up, you couldn't. You're watching random videos and you end up here on this video with a girl who is very similar to the girl you once knew. So similar it's troubling. Same voice, same laugh, almost same smile.
And you're once again realizing a sad truth: you're an idiot.
Yes, there is a reason this "how to break a wonderful friendship" story is particulary specific. -Sorry for the long comment, kind of had to let this out- .
