    Awesome stuff. I implemented visibility while you were explaining. Much cleaner interface. Thank you. Keep them coming.

    Dude, Ive learned so much from your videos, Thank you! Also it would be awesome if you could do a video about adding an IP camera to openhab when you have time

      @Dwayne Baker - I'll work on it - but I still have a crappy Amcrest NVR running my cameras, and I haven't been able to get them to work with the awesome new IPCamera binding @matt1 (Skinah) is working on. here: community.openhab.org/t/ipcamera-new-ip-camera-binding/42771 - what I need to do is get a POE switch, build my own NVR (BlueIris, ZoneMinder, etc..), and then bring the camera feeds into openHAB. When I do, I'll definitely be making videos on the topic!

    Thanks for taking the time to create these stepping stone how to videos for OpenHAB2. Personally migrating from years with Vera system. It would be very helpful to be able to see your Sitemap file and items file in their entirety. As I try to comprehend just how you have done the things your outlining in comparison to my own files, I find myself rewinding and replaying certain parts trying to figure out just where you inserted certain parts (example: when you inserted "text" into your sitemap to create the sub screen for the individual Kitchen screen (line 25 - 30). I still cannot figure out how to duplicate this for my 4 back patio lights.

      @Todd Mathewson - that is great feedback, thank you! I've been thinking about how to best provide the files/configs I'm working with. I think the best way to do this will be to create companion posts for the videos on the openHAB community forums, and post the relevant configurations there (I've done this for some of my other videos like the NodeMCU sensors and openHAB scenes, already). That way, I can link to the video from the post, and add the forum post link to the video description.
      I'm also thinking about just putting my entire openHAB configuration (minus the personal info, of course) on a GitHub repo - that way, anyone can see/copy (and improve) my configuration as they wish, and as an added bonus, I'll always have a ready backup of my config!
      Thanks for watching and commenting - enjoy your adventure with openHAB :)

      Also, here is the "Text" element you were looking at - you should be able to insert it into your main sitemap file, and replace the items with your patio lights to duplicate itt :)
      Text label="Island Light Individual" icon="slider"
      {
      Slider item=Light_FF_Kitchen_Island_L
      Slider item=Light_FF_Kitchen_Island_C
      Slider item=Light_FF_Kitchen_Island_R
      }

      Thanks, quite the coincidence that the Text you posted is exactly what I have copied in my clipboard right this second. I paused your video on a spot where I spotted that. I stuck it in my sitemap file, and it showed up in my sitemap just not where I expected it to . I think your idea of posting the files on the OpemHAB forum with a link in the video would be most helpful to anyone who is new to this platform. Again your narration and instruction are very good, but like learning many new things, having the file (workbook) to go with the lesson will help us better understand and comprehend what we want to learn.
      Thanks again

    I’m not sure if it’s too late to suggest or you don’t prefer it, but I will try.
    In the rules would it be possible to show how to setup up a pir sensor or door contact. So when you are at home it will sound a door bell and when you are out, a dog barking. Maybe also turn an outdoor light on, if it’s dark.

    Do you know if anyone has created a binding for the Monoprice STITCH brand of home auto devices? I have a few of the plug in modules and would love to add them to Openhab. Thanks
