it’s so funny to me that any negative comment gets more likes than the positive. lurking in search of negativity is so strange! but a huge thank you to all of the positive comments and genuinely rational people - you guys are the best and the reason i continue to post 🖤

Erin, don’t be sorry! He is a fit, happy, well taken care of horse, and he was feeling fantastic! They’re not robots. They’re animals with minds and ideas of their own! Getting them to always obediently work with us is a blessing 😅 And a rarity!

Erin this was hil-arious.😂😂😂"Take THAT Mom!" What a little brat ! But how WONDERFUL to see this horse so HAPPEEEE ! I remember when you tried him in Spain and soooo wishing you would choose him. He was breathtakingly gorgeous but seemed so sad, nothing of the spirit we see now. Girl you have CLEARLY given him a wonderful life . I think you are a wonderful, kind- hearted , knowledgeable equestrian. ❤️ from 🇨🇦

I love that you are brave enough to show the 'bad' days. Its just a reality that not everything is perfect. Every day on social media you see picture perfect footage, wich is often unrealistic. Horses can be difficult and a handfull. Not everything is always perfect. That is what i like about your channel! That you show these things. It is also a good reminder that everyone has bad days and it doesn't always have to be perfect. Thsnk you for sharing! ❤

Lol what a day! 😂 Maybe feeling his hormones more with spring around the corner? Lovely to see him again, he's sooo gorgeous! 😍 PREs are super sensitive, just the fact that you brought a friend to ride him could be why he was on edge, a new person could definitely set mine off. He likes things to be exactly the same every day or he can get quite upset.🙈 The rolling is a natural stress response, as you say he's a horse and he's just being a horse and doing what he needs to do to cope. He's not being bad on purpose, they never are! ❤️ Thanks for keeping it real Erin 🥰

Oh Lord. Buski woke up and chose chaos and violence that day.😅 While I know some Spanish horses can be super fiery, I never thought I’d see one out-antic a Thoroughbred.😂 It’s so tough when you have an otherwise pretty well behaved horse, have a day where all of their learning and usual behavior is seemingly chucked out the window.🥴 I started out on Arabians and Thoroughbreds are my loves and breed of choice, so I know how this is ALL too well. What worked for me and my TB boy TREMENDOUSLY well, was working on ground manners 30 mins. to 1 hour, 4-5 days a week, and a calming supplement that was vitamins/minerals based, not any drug or herb ones since we were showing. 2-3 years of that consistency, and he turned into a chill pill that I would trust a child leading him. All horses are different though, and you just have to find what works for each one.

We can tell that you know how horses work and how can you properly take care of them. Horses have their good and bad days, remember that you're blessed with multiple horses and we love your real, unfiltered vlogs even though non-equestrians are going to say something (but when will they won't). Just trying to say is there will ALWAYS be days like this but just remember you have supportive fans and by the end of the day the horses love you and you love them.❤❤❤❤

Horses are really something else! I'd love to see some in-depth schooling videos with Gee, Buski, and Sonny, if you ever feel like doing videos like that - they're all so different and so interesting, and you're a gorgeous rider. The way you explained training collected canter and flying changes in Harlow's video was really informational and helpful!

Thank you for showing the reality! We all have off days, but I think you handled it so well. It takes a great measure of horsemanship to not get upset with him about it, and just adjust to what he needs in that moment.

Ok Erin I don’t see any negative messages here and you are very brave being so open charing your bad days etc.
I watched your videos in Spain and I am delighted to see Buski at home with you.
I do have a nagging worry though. I am not so sure that Buski is not getting really bored with the amount of time you spend playing with his mane. Laying down ( which he did towards the end of this recording) is clear protest from him. Also with him not letting you catch him, tells me that he is building resistance towards you.
My advice, leave his mane alone, either platted or loose and only attend to it at certain designated times (weekly)?
Work him loose or lunge and keep changing direction and speed transactions. I can see he easily gets bored. You will have to be on your toes with him keeping him interested.
Erin beauty comes at a cost and you will now start realising the cost of his beauty. I do wish you luck and wisdom.

Yes but she also ties his mane so it won't get caught in anything when riding it most likely won't and it just let's it loose its for his safety

Its happening girl! Dont worry. You get the right decision with lunging. I work with horses 33 years now and i tottally understand when "accident" happen, my confidence fall down for days😢. But for the horses its just a moment. Some horsmanship ideas can help you for train stand still in an easy way. My first stallion did this to my knee in a vetcheck because he is bored and wanted to do the "hello" trick with one leg (he is extremly gentleman and inteligent buddy i've ever seen like yours). I could bare it without laughing.😂

THANK YOU for posting the real riding experience! When I was getting into riding as a (covers mouth to mumble) thirty-something (cough), after spending months binge-watching other RUclipsrs, I would get out to my riding place and see my trainer's OTTBs acting unpredictably and think what is going on?! Is she a bad trainer? Are her horses problematic? This surely isn't normal?! I wish I had seen videos like this one beforehand, so I had a better idea of what to expect. So thank you Erin, from a new subscriber, for being REAL!

Oow this happened to me at least 3x times in the 4 years I had my Arabian stallion.. Shit happens sometimes.. It's just something that can happen no matter how careful you are.. That same stallion could walk with me off the rope in the woods and come back immediately every single time I called him.. But he was just a very well trained but also very cheeky boy that was a better escape artist than Houdini was. He did break the tree of my sadle twice by rolling with it though but never got hurt himself. Who cares what the "Karen's of the world" have to say.. They will always find something to complain about..

Hey, I love that you care so much about your horses! Especially when you said that you would reflect on the day so you could find out what bugged him so much to do what he did. However, Im actually a lilttle bit scared to write the next part because I don‘t want to offend you or anyone else. You probably know as a high leveld rider with lots of experience that an open mouth like Buski‘s at the end of the video when you and your friend ride him means he is in pain right? Maybe because of the bit. Is it a single joined one? Many people don‘t know that joined bits are actually not very comfortable for the horse. You can easaly test that if you take the bit in your hand, put rains on it and than start pulling with low to high presure. A bit with no joints is way more comfortable if you compare it. But you are his rider so you probably know what works best on him. At last, I just want to say I love how honest you are at showing days like this to us and that you are so open minded about so many things! Have a nice day. (Sorry for my english, it‘s not the best.)

see its comments like this. i completely understand that this comes from a good place but what you must understand is that my horses welfare is my number one priority. with buski i have tried/am trying everything to make him happy. he has turnout often, but it can occasionally stress him out more. he cannot be with the other horses as he’s a stallion and it seriously upsets him. please try to understand that as a seasoned equestrian, i am fairly knowledgeable especially with my own horses, and i will do whatever is best for them, and in this case - it is not what you suggest x

@theerinwilliams I dont get this. "make some changes" .... the horse is living a much different than he would have done in Spain, and I dare I say for the better. He is experiencing a lot of new things, winter, grass popping up ect his mind is going to blow and in sure Erin will exhaust every avenue to help his highly strung days become less and less...

sokkal több ilyen kommentre számítottam, de nem hittem volna, hogy egy másik magyartól jön majd :). Egyetértek, már én is leírtam a magamét, hátha változást hoz.

Agree and it’s the same reply of I am doing everything you can, but no evidence of her asking for help, we all have a responsibility to our horses and their wellbeing and sometimes that includes us asking for help from people that know more than us rather than assuming our limited knowledge is the be all and end all

Bit of early spring fever, probably. It's nothing most of us haven't dealt with at some point, and obviously when they are entire everything is 100X more dramatic 😂 Jist wondering and this is a complete zero hate/judgy Q but is he able to be turned out plenty like the others? A round pen or something out of the way of temptation?

yes! he gets field time and time in the turnout pen but it’s weirdly hit or miss. some days he’s relaxed and loves it and some days he gets very stressy 🥹

@theerinwilliams I thought he would get his turnout like the rest do tbh. Just full of high spirits. Wonder if there are any mares in season on neighbouring yards... We've all had those days just love the fact you shown it. I would have cried and headed home 🤣🤣

Not hating but shouldn't you disencourage the let throwing? Usually putting Ur hand on the top half of their leg stops them doing it, correct me if I'm wrong tho x
