  • The Rocking Tree Farm, Dr. Tabitha Garvin-Betancourt milking her sheep. In this video, she is weening the sheep off milking to prepared for breeding this season.
A brief explanation of the benefits of this milk is, to us, better then bovine milk.
These Eastern Freisian sheep are considered the "Holstein cow" of the sheep milking community, bred for their milk, fibers from their fur, and their meats.
We believe, some people with these issues can attest, a person has lactose intolerant issues, you will likely not have issues with this milk. Why? The milk is naturally processed differently in sheep and the ingredient that cause the digestion conflicts are have not been in this sheep milk.
Why sheep and not cows? Both eat all day long, but sheep eat much less. Sheep milk has the highest protein levels, creamier to get more butter and cheese then other dairy products from smaller amounts. Sheep milk is more like a gourmet milk. Cows milk is the high-production, lower quality, while sheep milk is lower in volume, with highers quality for cooking, drinking, and nutritional value.
    Thanks for watching.
