I was just thinking of the ultimate homeless hobo travel vehicle: Think of a 6 ft long recumbent trike but it's fully enclosed, insulated, lightweight & doubles as your waterproof sleeping pod. Where the seat folds down into a bed, it'd have pedal power but mainly powered by ebike electric motors on the wheels. Use ebike wheels, 203mm 3 disk bike brakes, bicycle rear shocks on each wheel. With a large Lifepo4 battery bank under the seat, the front/hood & roof would be covered with 2 or 3- 100w solar panels & it'd pull a small trailer about the size of a shopping cart that also has suspension on it's 2 wheels, it'd be a light metal box with locking lid & another solar panel for power on it's lid. The trailer would have a small dometic or peltier type 12V fridge freezer inside (fridge vent louvers in the trailer box) & all your hobo gear inside. Also 2 saddlebags on the sides of the enclosed trike body to hold non stealable things like dirty clothes. The steering system would have a hitchpin so you can lift it up out of the way, when it's time to sleep. The dash would have a spot for a laptop or TV and some small speakers. The windows would be tinted polycarbonate plastic so they can't break easy. For AC you could use a couple CPU peltiers/fans that blow cool air. For heat an electric blanket on the seat that runs off the battery bank. Bring along a couple 100w lightweight fold out solar panels for extra charging. You can also plug into places along the way to recharge. After riding for 50- 75 miles simply get out stretch your legs (pedaling some would keep legs from going stiff plus increase range) lay the seat down flat, turn on laptop or TV watch some TV or movie before falling asleep......I thought about ebikes / motorized bikes pulling a trailer with tent,etc..But I this enclosed trike build would be the way to go. No gas $ to worry about & it'd enable you to stay on the road in comfort for way longer than bike packing. You'd have a mini fridge, small folding camp stove that burns small sticks, plate/forks cooking gear, water filter, rollup solar hanging shower bag.
I'm in that sounds super cool I would totally try to take that places . I struggling with the battery part just because they can be so expensive. But I see you tried to cut the cost of them in your build . I built a reverse trike but my front end geometry was wrong and didn't maneuver very well a bit tippy not like you see those guys online those things are cool as s***. I really appreciate the long comment 👍 it was an interesting read thank you
Man, I wish I could have met up with you when you were in Cali because I know all the places to stealth camp having been homeless a few times. Have some great herb around these parts too, as I'm sure you know. I have been building a fort in the woods where I'm not supposed to be at all and the other day when I was there, I here a helicopter coming so I checked my flight app and, sure enough, it was the police. They came right over my fort and started circling and I thought I was in some real trouble but I had hidden up under a tree and obscured clearly human things like my hands and head by tucking them together to also make myself look like a smaller animal. They kept circling and circling and then they finally said through their loudspeaker, "Don't grab the rifle." Well I was confused because I don't have a rifle so I wondered whether they were mistaking branches I had cut for a rifle but I stayed still under my tree. They circled some more before saying, "Walk towards the train tracks." Well I could have done that but I thought, nah, let them get off their asses and come actually find me. I figured that either way I was probably going to get shot and killed by them if they came for me but I stayed still under my tree. Oh and I had a fire going in my Dakota fire pit but, thankfully, it wasn't putting out any smoke because I had it going good and I also have it covered from most angles, including from above. Then I heard them say something about putting your hands on your head and walking backwards towards the police and then I knew it wasn't for me and I'm glad I didn't expose myself by getting out from under my tree. Finally, the cop helicopter left and I made an even bigger fire out of spite for them having scared the shit out of me. I am glad that, even though they were flying literally right over where I was looking for someone, they didn't see me or my fort. Sometimes I feel like my fort sticks out like a sore thumb but I think it's really because I know where it is since I built it.
man $115.00 for just being in the park thats crazy . they sounded like they was pretty pissed off to lol . fricken cops . still a great video brother . think of it this way its one youtube check . be a while before you can collect it but it will come as long as you keep making videos . almost at 400 thats almost half way there . growing pretty fast brother . you will be there before you know it . after 1k you kinda dont worry about sub growth as much . then its just views but you will do alright once you get to 1k . im sure 4k watch time hours aint much . i think thats a year i get that every month and im not that exciting lol . any way looking forward to the new build ride safe brother .
Fall here now 60ish degrees here no sun cold hoodie time and jeans now. Sucks but it’s life. Be careful have fun. And yes the gallon of tea. Gotta have it. Do you make it or buy it. If ya make it do a video people might want to see it just incase you do it different.
I make the tea at home I almost never pay for a drink . I will try to whip up a video on how we make our sweet tea . It is starting to cool down here as well low 80s and biting black flies.
Jarrod, I love your build. Yeah, I don't worry about the paint job nearly as much as I do about air in the tires. Do you use the thicker inner tubes? Man, it looks like you're having fun. Wish we were neighbors brother.
I am not particular about what tubes I use mostly price point.. in Arizona you need steel belted radials though I know that .I have run a tire inside of a tire with a tube but there unbalanced and start to wobble at speed .
Yes I am and hope you got a kick out of it .👍😊 I'm not the angry person I play on the tube . She paid it the next morning in fact . These are the kinds of investments I make to my channel. Hope your feeling well and happy 😁
Look Yogi,it's the Rangers....That sucks that it costs That much for just being there.Wow.A freaking trail next to a giant body of water that's wide open to any boat.
come'on ya refuse to do basic maintainence like oiling the chain or airing up your tire? Love your ride tho! Looks like your loving life and having a great time, more power to ya!
I will have to admit your touring rig makes mine look sad 😔 no hot sauce holder . I used the trailer for the video even though I had swore them off because they draw to much attention.
Well I can't say shit about what to wear in a crash. I crashed a motorcycle in shorts and a tank top but what are you going to do when it's 120 F outside? I wasn't the drunk driver. I'll be the drunk bicyclists because I am old and slow and I'll walk it if I'm that trashed, but not a drunk motorcyclists. That's crazy. lol First time I ate shit on my motorcycle was turning through some loose dirt like you did. You only have to have a little throttle on around the corner and you're down before you know it. That wasn't the accident I was talking about in the above paragraph though. In that accident, I was going 35 mph, got thrown off my bike because I hit debris from this accident a drunk caused around a blind corner, slid 50 feet mostly on my hands and knees, and my bike was totaled because it went almost entirely under a truck. I didn't go under the truck because I saw where I'd end up and scrambled as I was sliding to avoid that fate. Shit happens. I did have a good helmet (which I didn't hit on anything) and some paratrooper boots on (which definitely saved my feet). On a hot day, though, heat stroke is usually a greater danger than eating shit.
Can’t believe that a 115$ fine, took my stock 50cc china doll to Thomasville Georgia from north Florida on a 44 tooth sprocket that was the farthest I’ve ever traveled at once on a DIY moped 🛵 🛞 💨 🇺🇸 there strict about going in those areas they really want to protect the land I respect it but where else is a guy gonna sleep when he rode his moped miles into nowhere 🫡 awesome video I love the journeys!
If they put shit on the sidewalk like that, I either kick it down or take it away. Fuck that shit! What if someone was in a wheelchair? What the hell are they supposed to do? I like your motorized bike. I wish I had gotten one of those instead of a regular bike because I'm old and it's hard to ride up hills. It still beats walking though.
The same as anyone using a motorized bicycle. Walmart back tire 600 ,, swallby Marathon e plus I've got almost 5000 and minimal wear . That's a considerably difference between brands . Hope that answers your question. To make the roller grip I use tire pressure normally about 30 psi but in wet conditions as little as 18 psi .
I love how you try to protect your EGO and then come back later and get honest in editing. My hats off to you and the honesty.
Thanks for checking it out 👍😊

Beautiful scenery. Great camera angles. Great editing. Whoa, you just wrecked! Yeah, you've got all of the safety gear covered.🙃

I wear similar riding gear, except mine isn't as fancy as yours.
Gotta say at least your doing things and enjoying the nature of it. You go for it and do it. …nice.

That is nice I can't even imagine how much gear you can carry it's definitely capable of 4 seasons easy
Great side view it was like you had your own film crew
Nice wipe out but at least you was filming and wearing the proper safety equipment

I've been stopped and searched and maid into a criminal many times.

Road pirates. Its getting rediculous. You gotta get rid of the bright colors for stealth

It takes me like 3 hours to ride as far as you rode, but I've done it before. Tires me the fuck out though.
I dont mind crashing but Im tired of fixing stuff on my bike.
