The behaviour I have witnessed here in Malmo has been despicable.
These are my thoughts and feelings being here right now.
It’s confirmed now that Bambie from Ireland 🇮🇪 did not rehearse. This is uploading as we are waiting on news from Greece 🇬🇷 and Switzerland 🇨🇭
Congrats on being brave!!! Finally someone saying out loud what many others know its happening but remain silent!!
From what i heard it was Joost making a hand gesture to a camera person. After he had asked them several times not to film
In an area where it was agreed not to film.
@@Dave-es2lp exactly!
And Joost was in high emotion after his outro for his parents. So it looks like a setup of the camera women. Israël forces in play?
@@QuamfyMarc oh come on, you can't start speculating and blaming them for everything, this really isn't on, it's becoming like 1930's Germany now.
this could turn out to be a pretty important video. thumbs up for the braveness and honesty!
This is wrong. Absolutely over exaggerated sanction. Joost should sue for defamation. Ebu's decisions have put everyone at harm way: the artist, audience, countries and the hole concept of the festival. Ebu needs to reflect it own actions and a purge needs to be made. And maybe there should be a search for another sponsor for the event, someone that doesn't effect on Ebu's decision making.
Joost was behaving with blatant antipathy towards Israel. He's the bully.
@@geraldinehorton1410 So that is a reason to be disqualified??
You just proved the point everyone is making.
Moroccan Oil -> They don't even dare to give it their own countries name.
@@geraldinehorton1410 when did he show is 'blatant' antipathy towards her? I don't understand what you are saying.
The reaction from the Dutch was this: Joost went from the performance to the green room and had asked not to be filmed. This was not respected. So he made a gesture to fuck off. This is what we do in te Netherlands. And then there was a complaint. Really!
What is okay to do in the Netherlands doesn't mean it's okay somewhere else or with somebody else. It might be offensive and really unpleasant. Even if he hadn't been happy being filmed, he could have reacted in a different, more appropriate way. Besides, I think he knows the rules well. So, his actions have led to these consequences, unfortunately.
@@MrDen-lv5uj So you think it's okay to keep doing something desspite the other person saying No multiple times is okay? You're delusional.
@@MrDen-lv5uj Yeah, harassment may be perfectly okay in the genocidal Apartheid state, but it's not so much outside of that.
@@MrDen-lv5uj Well, thank you. You know you are incorrect.
@@MrDen-lv5uj we don’t kill.
Martin Österdahl and the EBU were more than happy to take money from sponsor MoroccanOil, an Israeli company. They forgot though: whoever holds the purse strings gets to call the shots....
There are many different companies sponsering the Eurovision from many different countries. Why focus only on the Israeli one?
Is it related to obsession with the Jewish state?
You trying to make it seem like the Jews are the ones pulling behind the strings.
Good for them
Thought so too
Well done on speaking out man and stay strong, horrible situation. Israel should never have been allowed to compete.
How can delegation from Israel behave as human beings in competition if they don't do that in real life.
💯 Man, this hits hard. It's sad some of them are brainwashed to the point they don't even realize it though.
@@HZ-fg9sf we as western world have created the Israeli problem by giving them land that belonged to the Palestinian people and not to the western world. We gave something away that didn't even belong to us.
So question is who is brainwashed??
I'll just add the main sponsor Moroccan Oil is an Israeli company. That can also explain a few things.
Yup. Always blame the Jews, of course. 🙄

You don't deserve that beautiful cat in your profile pic...
All teachers know 2 types of bullies: the blatant open one - threatening everybody in public and bragging about it - and the silent bully - the one that does nasty stuff when everybody is not watching. It is often a verbal, insiduous, manipulative human being. Finally the victim cracks... and the silent bully plays the victim, and wins. You can cheat the entire planet. Not teachers, they know this destructive behaviour too well. And that's what a certain nation looks like: the silent bully.
This!!! You are so on point! Silent bullies are frustrating to say the least, and everybody dealing with one have my compassion ❤
Boohoo
More press need to speak out about this immediately
Lokal press is biased though
So for everyone who wants to know what happened with/to Joost this is the official statement of the Avro/Tros (Dutch broadcasting) about all this:
“We have taken note of the disqualification by the EBU. AVROTROS finds the disqualification disproportionate and is shocked by the decision. We deeply regret this.
An incident occurred after last Thursday's performance. Against clearly made agreements, Joost was filmed when he had just gotten off stage and had to rush to the greenroom. At that moment, Joost repeatedly indicated that he did not want to be filmed. This wasn’t respected. This led to a threatening movement from Joost towards the camera. Joost did not touch the camera woman. This incident was reported, followed by an investigation by the EBU and police.
Yesterday and today we consulted extensively with the EBU and proposed several solutions. Nevertheless, the EBU has still decided to disqualify Joost Klein. AVROTROS finds the penalty very heavy and disproportionate. We stand for good manners -let there be no misunderstanding about that- but in our view, an exclusion order is not proportional to this incident.
We are very disappointed and upset for the millions of fans who were so excited for tonight. What Joost brought to the Netherlands and Europe shouldn’t have ended this way.”
I’ve read somewhere that the threatening movement was not more than a wave of the hand towards the camera. But that is not really confirmed. Why he was being filmed against prior made agreements and her continuing the filming even though him asking her several times to stop….seems like harassment to me.
If he wasn't against you know who he wouldn't be banned. Literally the main sponsor is from you know where.
The question is if that camera woman knew about that agreement. In principle press is allowed to film and report from the event. That is its purpose and as long as it is not in a restricted area or in clear private zone like washing room or against press codex, a prohibition needs explanation. This content also creates just new rumours without proof and does probably not help to deescalate the situation.
@@florianmeier3186 It doesn't matter, he was speaking publicly against you know who and he was removed on first minor offense. Making stupid things up to justify it doesn't change THE FACTS.

We don't know the facts and if it was minor. That is what NL EBU-members say.
Thank you for speaking on this. Talk about not bringing a contest to disrepute... The irony, the hypocrisy, the double standard.
All of this should be looked into. If it is true that Joost got physical which seems strange then that is a serious allegation. They should look into the cause as well. If it is verbal, I agree that the Israeli delegation should be disqualified because they broke the rules as well.
Update: It wasn't physical. He basically made a warning move. Things have been blown out of proportion. He didn't want the camera on him but the camerawomen didn't listen so he "scared' her. Ngl, this reeks of using a smaller incident for ulterior motives in order to dq him. Not a good look so far. While what he did is not great and certainly foolish, it doesn't warrant a DQ. I hope the artists stand together in solidarity and all threaten to boycott unless his dq is revoked. Police have determined it isn't serious enough to detain him. They passed it onto the prosecutor to determine whether to pursue this further. That is standard practice for minor infractions. Let him perform in the meantime. Should the prosecutor determined to prosecute (which I highly doubt) then have his judgment be in court. Not like this.
I love my country's song, because for me it was an anthem, Zorra, but I wish they decided not to perform....
I'm supporting Israel love Spain entry though. Cracking pair bums on them guys lol
I feel your thoughts. I can imagine that the atmosphere might be tense. Take care and hang in there!
It's sad that one of the happiest events during these dark times, are being destroyed by hatred and shameful behaviours. I feel sorry for the host broadcaster, Svt. It can't be fun to try to deliver a great show, when the EBU does so many mistakes.
Its only partially the EBU. Its also certain countries (representatives.. dont think their people agree) seemingly to actively want to ruin the event.
I admire you deeply for speaking up about this and I hope it doesn't bring your position in jeopardy! I'm very curious about your view on the Joost Klein situation now that some details have come out to the public.
I do have something to say about this. Your previous post - getting emotional whilst viewing the Joost Klein official music video - was wonderful and completely authentic. This is of the same level. Thank you for your words.
thank you so much for your insight!!
I honesty can't fathom the EBUs double standard of letting Israel compeat when they didn't let Russia compeat. She has even lived in Russia for like half of her life which doesn't make it any better. I do feel a little bad for all of the hate she's getting. She probably has the same motives of any other partisepents, but you're just simply not only representing yourself at Eurovision
And, she has American accent, not Israeli accent. So how Israeli is she?

For me i was ok with Israel being allowed to perform because i seperate broadcaster from country when it comes to ESC but now broadcaster is breaking the rules so they should be out
Fake news. It was due to a confrontation with a production crew member, not the Israeli delegation.
What rules were broken?
you have no idea what you're talking about, they didn't break any rules.
Thank you for your report ❤
Thank you for sharing!
That fact that Israel is allowed to participate when they banned Russia is insane. But that aside, why are they allowed to participate if they are acting like this to other artists? I mean they banned the Netherlands...
It had mostly to do with the relationships between the EBU and each country's respective broadcasting group.
Russia's broadcasting organisation had violated EBU rules for years, and its invasion of Ukraine is probably what broke the camel's back. Israel's broadcasting organisation Kan is not in violation of any guidline.
Furthermore, Russia invaded a participant country whilst Israel was invaded by a non participant country.
Seems like an easy distinction.
(Btw, Azerbaijan and Armenia also competed during their recent conflicts.)
Look at the main sponsor of this event and you know why Israel is in there.
@@jasporflex1976 I know and all are good points for why there is nuance, however I still think it's not the right decision to keep Israel in at the moment, it is disrupting the contest no doubt.
Im sorry when did Ukraine go in and kidnap a bunch of Russians while filming it and posting it online ? Comparing the two things is completely bonkers!
Are you ok My Guy? Russia invaded Ukraine. Hamas invaded Israel 🇬🇧🇮🇱🇬🇧🇮🇱🇬🇧🇮🇱

if all these allegations are true, what is going on? You saw what happened to Joost - One official complaint and an investigation was started. Is no one filing complaints or is the EBU not taking complaints about said country seriously? And if no one is filing complaints, why not?
These are genuine questions by the way, not gonna speculate in the comments.
Bambie lodged a complaint and Israel were talked to about their behaviour.

That’s the behavior of a toddler at best …
The double standard from the EBU was already clear enough when they banned Russia for political reasons and allowed Israel to partecipate even though they did the same thing as Russia but since it's a great financial partner to the EBU and the West is okay with it, then it's all good. The worst part is that the show reputation in permanently damaged now.
exactly, thank you
Tbf russia went to war with another eurovisian participant, while morally this isn't worse, it makes sense to not let a party compete who declares war on another party thats also competing
Russia was banned because they were kicked out of the EBU. This due to them not having free press. Has nothing to do with the war. They were not banned 2014 when they invaded Crimea.
if Ukraine is allowed to participate, so should Israel.
Russia and Israel are very different situations. And also, please dont bloody use Russia as tool to attack Israel. Have some decency.
Russia should not have been banned either, but blame the EU/NATO for that one. They can't publicly do that with Israel (since unlike Russia, Israel has always been friendly to the west), which is why they are using ''protests'' and the contestants from certain countries (which are indirectly/directly decided by their goverments, btw) to speak out against Israel.
Double standards for sure.

Why is Ukraine competing? They’re bombing their own in Donetsk and Luhansk.

This is supposed to be a song contest, A SONG CONTEST! Leave the politics out of it as this is meant to be entertainment. a contestant has been kicked out for his behaviour, not the end of the world. What is that old saying? The show must go on....
The Dutch broadcasting corporation has released what is known so far. The woman wasn't even TOUCHED. The Israeli delegation has been harassing other artists the entire time, and yet still she is allowed to participate.
When the politicians ignore the people, the people start do find other ways to get their message across. So, this song contest is an opportunity for people to get their message across because their opinion is getting silenced on "official channels". It is sad actually that we have to deal with that and we don't know what REALLY happened..
Well, the contest was always political, since it was created to promote peace amongst the European nation states, which has mostly been achieved. Therefore, it no longer serves its original purpose and has become an outlet for the promotion of leftist ideologies. In any case, as much as people should support the state of Israel, they should not vote for them in this year’s Eurovision, which they should’ve recused themselves from. Vote for Croatia, they’re essentially the only one that isn’t overly degenerate or political.
Willful ignorance for the sake of personal entertainment should NOT be an excuse, especially for a song contest that uses #unitedbymusic as their slogan, while having a country that actively is in a war engaging in racial segregation. We aren't united, this isn't Eurovision as it should be because EBU ruined all perspectives of it when it made the POLITICAL DECISION of inviting and keeping Israel in the competition. So do not twist this into being the public being too stuck up, it was the EBU that expected us to stay silent over a clear injustice that THEY THEMSELVES have brought upon this song contest.
