Wow this was an EXCELLENT video. Im always impressed by the wide scope of your analyses and how you see the connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena in the church. Every point you addressed was at one point a true test to my faith in my walk with the Lord, especially the conspiracy and anti-science positions that some modern chirches take. It really is a shame that so many Christians feel the need to distance themselves from the secular world because of a belief in 'hidden knowledge'. The idea that Christians will leave this Earth for a new place when we die and resurrect is such an ingrained notion, but as you point out is entirely un-Biblical. We are called to be stewards of the Earth, not visitors!
2 Peter 3:9 9 The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.[a] 11 Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live, 12 looking forward to the day of God and hurrying it along. On that day, he will set the heavens on fire, and the elements will melt away in the flames. 13 But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness. Thoughts?

@@kriegjaeger I'd also be interested to know what RZ thinks about this. I'm sure he's got a video on it. I'm premillenial, and RZ's points about a sinking ship are accurate. However, my purpose in this life is akin to throwing as many lifevests to others as possible such that they may survive the sinking ship. The end will come. And when it does, the believers and unbelievers will be separated. Still, I appreciate RZ's perspective on this. Most Christians who have the most profound impact on this world do not, I suspect, have a premillenial view. Which tells those of us that do, to do better at being the salt and light the other views are in the world (with God's help and empowerment, of course).

@@chancebrown4696 YEC existed long before SDA, what Redeemed Zoomer claims is that it becomes very prominent with SDA, not that it started there. I’m glad you mentioned the fact that the idea of the rapture is unbiblical. My pastor actually gave a message a few months ago on this very thing, and that though there is evil in this world, we can see through advancements through science, technology, medicine, etc, that life on earth is constantly improving, and that the church is still being spread. No, it is not perfect, but our job is to do as much as we can, as best as we can, and have faith that Jesus is going to come make perfect what we’ve done in His name through faith.
@@TGLuck151 There is nothing in the Bible that literally says anything about a seven-year tribulation or that the "rapture" and second coming are two separate events.
You do realize the bible predicts that the people of future generations will be utterly corrupted by all forms of sin to the point that they will not accept God right? The rapture is supposed to happen during this time, when exactly it will happen we don’t know, only God knows when. That said I would personally guess that it will happen when the world is to stubborn on not hearing the word that it would be pointless to teach. Our reason to exist as Christian’s on earth is to be ambassadors of God, teaching his words to those who had not word them. If everyone heard the word and are actively rejecting it, then I think God would commence the rapture. Again this happens when God says it’s time, we as humans do not know when it will happen.
You’re missing one: the idea that The Old Testament God is bad and cruel while the New Testament God is good and merciful. That is quite literally what gnostics historically believed and yet it is super common rhetoric from many bible defenders. I say this as a non-Christian.
I have a weird history. I was LDS then became atheist and now after lots of reading, watching and listening to different people I am very interested in becoming Christian (or at the least learning about it). I either want to be Presbyterian or Catholic. I have Autism and ADHD, I enjoy the intellectual aspects of Christianity and I would like a community that I can be involved in. I can’t go to church because I can’t drive yet. I don’t know what to do. How do or should I pray, and how do I read the Bible?
Public transport or the good old foot falcons mate. I come from a similar background myself funnily enough. I'd recommend going to a bunch of different churches (not just different denominations) and seeing what fits. Ultimately no church will be perfect, but that would take the fun out of it anyways 😅
This was a good video, but even as Protestant trinitarian Christian who hates Gnosticism as much as the next guy, I think your assessment of Gnosticism is too narrow. The Gnostics were less so of an organized heretical group so much as a very broad label of various disconnected heresies in pre-Nicene christianity influenced primarily by Platonism. All the Gnostic heretics were extremely different and varied.
But the thing is that they generally had the same mindset and the same core Dogma. Matter bad, world created by demiurge, secret knowledge/gnosis frees us from the evil matter to reach the Pleroma(heaven)
I kinda feel like (wether you believe in it or not) writing off young earth Creationism as “Anti-science” is a bit of an oversimplification. Don’t creationist scientists also do experiments and try to observe and explain the natural world. To me I feel like the main difference between the two opposing views is more one of interpretation rather than that of one being more “scientific”. P.S I really like the videos on this channel and I’m not throwing any ill will. I’m just curious as to the definition of “anti-science” in this context.
Hi, I figured I could offer some clarity: it’s considered anti-science because of the methods they use, and that a lot of the evidence is spotty at best. It also usually completely ignores the scientific consensus, which isn’t always right but their hand waving is usually unsupported. For example: the claim I’ve heard about all the different fossils being created in the flood completely ignores the truth that fossilization typically takes thousands to millions of years. Obviously there are exceptions but for it to be at that scale is insane and VERY unlikely. I’m still in my geology undergrad and not a paleo expert so if anyone has some better proof please let me know
@@addyjoy3ya I've seen something like carbon dating being unreliable because its theory uses uniformism but it's wrong because earth had a lot of disasters and changes. And that they made wrong assumptions many times.. Can you confirm it's true? It would be interesting
@@addyjoy3if fossils take millions of years why are there so many examples of them being made instantly or quickly like with Mt. St. Helens and other recorded disasters? Sure science claims it takes millions of years but it’s impossible to actually observe this happen. What we have observed is it happening instantly or very quickly during calamities and such. So which is more scientific? Believing on faith that fossils are formed over millions of years we did not observe? Or believing our observation that we see fossilization happen instantly?
@@Quincy_Morris we have scientific evidence of it taking a long time, I know one professor at my university who is doing experiments of burying alligator bones to see how they fossilize. There are specific cases where it can occur instantaneously but I don’t believe those are as common as you think. Hey Zoomer, I've recently became Christian (partly thanks to your videos-thank you) and I am wondering if you can just 'turn up' to church, or you need to sign up and do other things. What should I do?
Generally, to "join" a church, as in to become an official member, there will be something more formal. Our church takes a vote (we all collectively say I or I do not when asked if we want said party as part of our congregation) at the end of service anytime a family wants to officially join. It takes like 30 seconds. But to simply attend, nothing is required. In fact, most churches love visitors and will welcome you warmly. Some may ask you to fill out a visitor card but it's not required.
Fantastic, Antic52! For attending and partaking in a church, just show up. Some of the churches have websites stating their expectations but most don’t. Dressing nicely can’t hurt, but most baptist and nondenominational churches won’t look twice if you’re in khakis or even jeans and a plain tee. As for Communion, most churches will have open communion, but if you end up going to a Lutheran church, you will have to become a member before you can partake. Hope that answered some of your questions!
Absolutely just walk in. A good church will welcome you and will not pressure (though they may invite) you to join right away. Some churches have more formality than others when it comes to joining, but none should make you do anything before you've made the decision to join. Welcome to the Body of Christ!
Remember what we have been taught, Brother in Christ. Do not love the world nor the things of the world (1 John 2:15-17) and keep the expectation of the blessed hope and the Lord's glorious appearance (Titus 2:13). As in the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of man (Matthew 24:37-39). We will soon be caught up in the clouds to meet and be with the Lord Jesus forevermore. "Therefore encourage one another with these words" (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18). Amen.
2 Peter 2:3 3 Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. 4 They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.” 5 They deliberately forget that God made the heavens long ago by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. 6 Then he used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood. 7 And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed. James 1:5 5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. 6 But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. 7 Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. There are those who seek the approval of man and false wisdom of man before believing the word of God, they are double minded. They may be saved but their loyalty is torn between God and the world, seeking to attack those faithful to his word and drag those who are unsteady into faith in man rather than in God.

I'd argue that cults by their very nature are gnostic-adjacent. Salvation by secret knowledge that can't be trusted to outsiders is the core of pretty much any cult and what fundamentally separates them from religions (besides them being about someone exploiting others, cynically or not).
early christianity was a cult. they were underground, hidden, secretive, and careful when deciding who should join in their assemblies and who should not. do not cast pearls onto swine, as Jesus said. had they not done this, destroying them would've been much easier.

I fear you're not spreading the kingdom of God on earth by calling your fellow brothers and sisters who believes in creationism idiotic. I like your videos, but be sure to maintain your relationship with God too, read your Bible and pray every day. I'm afraid you're getting sucked away into learning about God, instead of getting to know Him. I myself have been there and I just thought I'd try to warn you.
@@redeemedzoomer6053 I'm really sorry if I accused you of something you haven't said. But I am really sure you called either creationism as an idea or the fact people believes in it as idiotic. I should've been clearer and rechecked that part. I just really hope you don't fall into the same rabbit hole as I did, being so fascinated by theology, culture, architecture and statistics so you put the relationship as second priority. Don't get me wrong, theology is really important, but the relationship always comes first, especially when it is more theoretical theology than theology you practice. I really don't mean to sound rude by this either, your content is mostly amazing!
I take slight issue with point number 2. The Anti-Science Mindset as it is framed is often just an anti-secular institution viewpoint. As we know Data can be fabricated to meet desired outcomes which benefit the rich and powerful and those who are otherwise opposed to the Christian world view. Lets not forget that Eugenics was once considered "settled science" I propose studying GK Chesterton for an exploration on the subject
Very interesting that there are influences in this way -- never heard of it in churches I've been to. (Yet, I've always committed to a local churches that always believe in the primary doctrines, solas, and uphold God's Word as His Living Word so I haven't heard of this before. I always think if there is some sort of heresy such as idolizing knowledge like Gnoticism or Word of Faith, idolizing money like Prosperity Gospel, or more, it isn't exactly a church anymore because Jesus isn't the head of the church anymore.)
“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.” (Matthew 7:13-14, NASB). Lists that all “Christians” will go to heaven. Gotta read the word first in order to be able to follow it. Don’t just listen to people and what they say build a relationship with Christ.
And what type of relationship is this. Cause when people say this, they fail to mention what type of religion it is. There are different types of relationships so which one?
Loved the video, I wanted to ask if you've ever heard of the late Hebrew scholar, Dr. Michael Heiser? Just wanted to know if you've heard of him, he's really cool when it comes to the Bible, and would you ever make videos discussing pastors, who are popular, for good or bad reasons. Or even other Christian RUclipsrs? There's a world of content out there and I'd love to see you cover, loving the channel as always.
As far as really famous pastors go, he’s talked about how nearly all of them are baptist or highly influenced by baptist theology, so he wouldn’t recommend them too much. He has a video on his thoughts of some famous theologians including Tim Keller and NT Wright. For RUclipsrs, he’s recommended Jordan Cooper (Lutheran) and Gavin Ortlund (Baptist). The living celebrity pastor he likes the most is probably Voddie Baucham except for one significant issue (subordination of the Son)
That last take was confusing to me, but didn't really bother because of my optimistic mindset. There have been people saying that bettering this world as a Christian is prosperity gospel, so could you perhaps do a video debunking that? Thanks!
Then they don’t understand the prosperity gospel. The prosperity gospel is “become a Christian so you can get good stuff.” Improving the world is “I am a Christian therefore I should bless other people as Jesus did.” They’re entirely different
Gnosticsm has also influenced groups like the Leftists, Communists, [bad guys of WW2 from Germany], Trade Unionists [bad guys of WW2 from Italy], and a ton of others.

i think that one of the things that St. John the Apostle used to "redeem" the world (i prefer to say that it was to make a common point between christians and non-christians) was the use of some words that were common in Greece at that time like the word Logos. By that i mean that if you try to "negate this world" like the last point of the video can lean to, you basically neglect the redemption of the world by Jesus and the members of his church and also almost becoming a dualist gnostic...
Hello. I really appreciate your work here. I get a lot out of your perspectives. I just wanted to point one thing out if I may: I can’t wait to see your take on the Rapture being unBiblical, but I’ve never heard anyone act like we shouldn’t continue trying to reach the world because we feel the Rapture is close. I speculate that may be a new idea being advanced today, but I’ve only known people to talk about the importance of getting even MORE active in spreading the Gospel the closer everything appears to be getting towards the end. However long that may still be, the signs of the times definitely show that the world isn’t currently headed anywhere good, so the sense of urgency in spreading the Gospel increases rather than dwindles. That’s been my personal experience, so that’s not to say spreading the Gospel HASN’T diminished because of the Rapture view. I just haven’t personally picked up on anyone having the idea of ceasing the mission.
same. I need to go watch the specific rapture video and see if he addresses the 7 years of tribulation, but my upbringing was that there would be a pre-tribulation rapture, and we would come back down with Christ at his second coming after the tribulation. Nothing about looking to be snatched off of Earth or viewing it as a sinking ship at all. If anything maybe it's just an attractive idea that those of us who follow Christ wouldn't have to be here for having to choose between taking the mark of the beast vs starving to death, widespread persecution and execution of Christians to make us deny Jesus, etc. Not gonna lie I wouldn't mind missing all that myself, but finally at 40 I'm digging more deeply into this stuff and finding that some of the eschatology I was told as a kid may not be strictly Biblical.
While what Zoomer is saying is decently true, I think he has a fundamental misunderstanding of what gnosticism is and is assigning things to it that don't belong under its umbrella
While there is some gnostic ideation that has stayed in the modern churches, the big thing about Gnosticism is that it is the religion of this world. Part of Gnosticism is often being hand in hand with esoteric and occult practices. This is why Catholics like myself are forbidden to interact with freemasonry, but really any christian with discernment would be highly distrusting of these closed societies saying they have only the best in mind for the world when it comes to their machinations. Not really diving into conspiracy theorism, simply them being in these closed and esoteric societies is enough for us to steer clear of them.
This is an awesome video. It is amazing how Gnosticism creeps into the church so subtly. I grew up in a church with some of these soft-core gnostic tendencies, but was very critical of hard core Gnosticism.
I think, the first conspiracy theory was "The Roman Pope is the Antichrist 666 Vicarius Filii Dei", that goes back to the time of the Reformation. Seventh Day Adventists still love that theory. Btw, isn't the Calvinistic idea of double predestination gnostic? Humanity is damned, but there are the chosen ones who are saved, but it's a secret knowledge. And there are signs which prove that you are among the chosen ones. It's kind of a gnosis.
Under Calvinist doctrine, God doesn’t reveal who is the elect or not. It’s not our job to know who is elect outside the church. By definition, this falls under the “secret things” talked about in Deut 29:29 Btw, speaking of that passage, is the Bible now gnostic since it talked about secret things that aren’t supposed to be revealed to us?
Bro, please, study about Calvinism before talking about It. Just read the Brief Cathecism of Westminster. What you wrote is just completely wrong, It is not a secret knowledge lol
As a Gen-Z-er who has recently had a resurgence in my overall faith, I really appreciate how thorough and genuine your videos are. I think that ever-growing mindset about "secret knowledge" and Gnosticism you mention is highly correlated to the proliferation of what I call "Libertarian Bro Culture" and a fallacy of being so based that one "transcends" "flawed" institutions like the Church and justifying personal ego as a triumphant beacon of light rather than an inflated sense of self. As you mention, while we all need to concede the truth about being in a battle of good and evil (and there is most certainly both), the solution is where most are divided. It's not, as you point out and I would agree, to just "pray super hard and have that 1 in a billion relationship with God that 'no one else has but me because I'm above the Church' " and get ascended to Heaven to be save oneself, but rather to work hard to see and spread the good we see and truly make the world more Heaven-like in our own ways (whilst accepting our natural flaw of Original Sin and constantly refining our honest relationship with God and Jesus) . I totally agree about your stance on remembering the main point of the Gospel to make the world better while we are here and uniting over our common love and true adoration for the Lord and Jesus rather than tearing each other down and debating semantics and wanting to be right and condemn others.
One question ,Redeemed Zoomer said once that he believes in evolution ,yet evolution teaches that there wasn't a first man(Adam) that could commit the original sin that corupted humanity and the world how does this affect predestination and his view of salvation ? Personaly I believe in evolution and I'm an atheist (If you wandered) . I get that you could have a belief in a God and evolution ,but I dont get how you could be a Christian (Jew or Muslim also) because I seems to contradict the fact that man has fallen from grace. Intrested in anybody's opinion on how it works, especialy if there you're calvinist.
I agree that someone who believes in a reliable Bible and Evolution from Common Descent at the exact same time is ultimately adhering to the above presented (and rather explicit and irresolvable) contradictions.
Inspiring philosophy has a video on why he does as a Christian. It’s all way to complex for my little brain to understand (must not have evolved as greatly as them) but I just believe what the Bible says about God creating Adam from the dust. Maybe you would understand his perspective though. He’s a interesting Christian. I believe redeemed zoomer said he also has a video on why he believes in evolution. 😊
One of the misrepresentations of a pre-trib rapture is that the church merely escapes Earth. The second part is in Revelation 20 when they return with Christ to reign with him on Earth for the millennium. I'm not sure what I believe will happen, but either way, yes the Church is guaranteed tribulations in this world and charged to work for the Kingdom on Earth, not promised that if they hide they'll escape.
The key is that the tribulation is God's wrath on the earth, not the normal problems caused by the curse. It doesn't make sense that God would cause us to suffer under his wrath when we have been forgiven (pre trib rapture).
@@kriegjaegerYeah the story of Noah is a reflection of the judgment to come. Noah and his family, those who were considered righteous before God were spared from the judgment of the earth.
@@vanjstoddart And the story of Lot in Sodom and Gamorrah! It's a very interesting study. God invites Abraham to reason with him, but the conversation is for our benefit for than Abraham's. God already knew no one good was in the town by Lot but allowed him to ask God, to reason for us, that God could surely not be a just God while also allowing his wrath to fall on innocent people. How it is to our benefit is that God says "I will go down and see" the situation in Sodom and Gamorrah. Yet the angels whom he sent reveal they were not sent to "check" but to destroy Sodom and Gamorrah. God already knew, of course, but saying this invited Abraham to reason with him. The conversation for Abraham was for our sake. God will not bring HIS wrath upon the innocent. So pre-trib rapture makes the most sense. Those saved by the blood of Christ will not be present to suffer his wrath.
Hey man, great video, I have a few pionts on this topic: What do you define as "secret knowledge"? Personally, I feel like when people talk about "hidden knowledge", what they usually mean are occult practices like witchcraft or alchemy. What you are saying, is that having a "desire" to look for truth, which is inherently christian, is herasy? I dont think that is a fair statement. Yes, i know i am wording this harshly, but broken down, it kind of sounded like you were insinuating it to that degree: "Just practice faith and let the wicked run a mock haha". The reality is, that you can not compare the believes and practices of an old christian sect, that was after esoteric knowledge, to people beeing concerned about the reality of human corruption. No Christian in their right mind would be like: I know the truth and now i am going to hide all the truth, so that i have secret wisdom and will be able to navigate though this life haha. 4:14 Another thing regarding the grace of God: Yes, he is protecting us from evil, like you said, however, we do not know what his plans are. If we look at the canannites, God let them continue to do horrible things, for thier sin had not reached its full potential: He chose to abstain from judgement, because he is patient and he wanted to let the people fullfill thier dark deeds, so he could judge them later on a fair basis. My point beeing: Like it says in the old testament, or even in revalation: Sometimes god will be "passive" for reasons we do not know, nor understand, for then we as the people bear the responsbility to watch out and diminish the evil in this world. I also don't believe, that sin alone is the only variable that perpatuates evil *in the world* : Yes, we are all sinners and therefore in need of a saviour and sin is the core of all evil, though occult practices and the witchcraft are open rebellion against god and his people. In other words: Intend does play a role in what happens to us *on this world*: I do believe it is fair to assume, that we as christians are under attack during spiritual warfare. Look at the satanic calender for reference, or just look at the "family friendly" demon summonings from last week (wtf). If we believe, there is good (God), we also have to believe there is evil (Satan), thus realising that spiritual attacks are legit. The main idea behind the "christian conspiracy guy", is the believe that we are currently indeed close to the endtimes, meaning we are in close proximity to the mark of the beast. (Lets be honest, some people think we are already in them, however that has been claimed a million times through out the millenia haha). In that context, the bible also says, that evil will rise and the days of Noah will come back. The reality is: We live in a society, where there are high ranking people are concerned with the dark tiqqun, which is in clear reflection of the coming of the antichrist. Yes people can be overboard and crazy af, but i would never go so far as to say they have heretic tendencies.
Every single year conspiracy christians make us look stupid with their own stupidity. Just because there is evil doesn't mean we are in the end times. We do not know nor should we even try to know when that is. God also said to trust in him not to go make crazy theories and use him as justification. Especially those Qanon christians that have done more damage to our religion than actual athiests.
I was thinking the same thing on his first point. I’ve done a small dive into the whole secret societies conspiracy. And from most of the Christians perspectives I’ve seen, they came to the conclusion that the secret societies were in fact gnostic, and they tied it all into how the end days and beast system and all the Revelation prophecy will come to pass through these people believing the God of the Bible is bad and Lucifer (what their secret knowledge leads them to) is good. It’s a very compelling belief actually. But the core of it isn’t Christians believing in this secret knowledge, but rather, believing there are many people in this world that do seek out this knowledge through secret societies, and come to the conclusion that Lucifer is the good guy.
To add to this: I have come to a belief that sin is intent even without a proceeding action. I have forgotten both the location and exact writing used to support unfortunately, maybe I'll get back to this when I'm not st work. Cheers!

Good video, but I heavily disagree with your stance on creationism. The Bible says the Earth was made in 6 days, with God resting on the 7th day, which is a literal example to follow. I just don't see a Biblically sound explanation for it being a metaphor or allegory for millions of years, as there's no real indication of such.
"Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made." Genesis 2:1-3
@@redeemedzoomer6053 Its all about the context. Many verses can be twisted into heresy or completely different meanings if you ignore the context surrounding them.
I wish redeemed zoomer had a steelman approach to young earth creationists, whose arguments come from the bible but also science. Its not fair that he picks us up from our lower common denominator. From his videos now I have a better understanding on the calvinist position than "those guys who dont believe there is free will at all and what we do doesnt matter". Please stop knocking down strawmen.
To be fair the Bible does say that for God a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day. So the 6 days in which God created the world could have literally been 6 days, or 6 thousand years, or potentially longer as far as we know.
As a Muslim, I feel like our conspiracy culture comes from Gnosticisms as well. Like whenever I here one of these conspiracy theorists, and I say "God is all powerful, if there was really this secret plan happening all along why didn't God stop it". Now I understand, it comes from Gnosticism. Nice to learn!!! Keep up the great work!!
Well RZ did say Islam has a common feature with Nestorian Christianity, where the divinity and humanity of Jesus (Isa) is separated into 2 distinct entities. I’ve been told in Islam, Isa did die for our sins on the cross, but is not treated as Allah or the son of Allah.
@@CliffCardi TL;DR Some Muslims believe in Original sin + Resurrection, most don't. Muslims don't believe in the Trinity because we believe God would keep the religion as easy to understand as possible. And also that the Trinity is technically Polytheism. In Islam, the Vast Majority of people have the opinion that both the Trinity and Original Sin(which includes resurrection) is False. Though technically nothing in Islam directly contradicts the Original sin. There are verses like "and THEY did not kill them, though it appeared they did". Usually read as "Jesus was either beat to a point where he didn't die, and instead survived regaining the strength to get up just 3 days later, or he escaped and when someone else was falsely crucified he returned. " could also be read as "The Romans didn't kill him, He was sacrificed for our sins. He allowed himself to die." We basically believe the trinity is impossible because in Islam God has a thing called "Sunnah" where he follows specific patterns to make it easier to understand him. One such pattern he follows is that he always exists within logic. Now even Scientists and Atheists no that there is no way to defend a denial of 1 God(They just claim the God has not consciousness and is thus irrelevant). Then any logical think would Conclude that such a god would have had a lasting impact of the earth, and that logically some people would recognize that. If you keep thinking purely logically you will arrive at all the same conclusions as Christians. Though the trinity breaks this pattern which we believe is illogical. Thus, we also believe that those who follow the trinity are polytheists, because God would not expect us to understand something so Illogical in out Universe.
@@matalostodos I don't really understand what your saying. Though I think your saying 2things, 1. "The Qur'an provides no evidence against the trinity" Which can be explained by the fact that the trinity is already a very difficult to defend statement. So simply saying that it is wrong is enough to convince most people (as it did across the Christian world), while anyone else could give evidence against it. God doesn't usually waste his precious final book with evidences anyone could figure out. Your second is "The Qur'an supports the idea that Jesus is a son" which is simply false. Your argument says anyone who was born through special creation is now the Son of God. This makes no sense. Jesus was made through special creation, he is still a human, just the most important human. Adam was also made through special creation, also he was a human. The first life forms on earth, also made through special creation. According to your argument all of these are "The Sons of God" it makes no sense.
The more I read chrisitan apologetics the more I appreciate the connection between faith and science. Learning more about the world that God created has been a wonderful expereince so far.

@@andreassvensson895 *kyle entered the chat* I honestly think it's a chicken and the egg problem. Also Catholic as in roman catholic or lower case catholic
@@andreassvensson895 so which came first the Orthodox or the Catholic? Both have solid historic claims to the original church but one 'split' from the other. This sounds a lot like pre trib rapture than rapture. And we have to be careful not to fall into Dominion theology that we can "heaven on earth by taking back the world for christ" which leads to the idolisation of politics
Pre trib does have good arguments however. God invites Abraham to reason with him by stating he will go down and see the state of Sodom and Gamorrah. God doesn't need to go see, he already knows. This is proven when the angels are 'saved' by Lot and reveal they were sent to destroy Sodom and Gamorrah, not investigate them. But the conversation is instructive, as is Lot's salvation. Genesis 18:22 Abraham approached him and said, “Will you sweep away both the righteous and the wicked? 24 Suppose you find fifty righteous people living there in the city-will you still sweep it away and not spare it for their sakes? 25 Surely you wouldn’t do such a thing, destroying the righteous along with the wicked. Why, you would be treating the righteous and the wicked exactly the same! Surely you wouldn’t do that! Should not the Judge of all the earth do what is right?” If God were to leave the saved in the world to suffer the tribulation, he would be destroying the righteous along with the wicked.
Well we should certainly try to make things as good as possible. Which is why the Bible depicts simple things like investment and hard work as good things in many of Jesus’ parables. Though the idea that we can make the world perfect I think goes against scripture.

I'm sort of up in the air about the Rapture. I would say better evidence for it than what you say though, is when Jesus says two will be in one bed and one will be taken and the other will be left, and two will be working in the field and one will be taken and the other left.

I know I’m late but this reminded me of a time I was refereeing a soccer game when I was younger and a Christian behind me started saying things like “you know history is just a bunch of lies accepted upon” and I wanted to say to him “how can you say that and be Christian?” (I’m assuming he’s Christian because his phone rang and it played a worship song, I think it was Amazing grace but it could’ve been a different one)
2 Peter 3:9
9 The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.[a]
11 Since everything around us is going to be destroyed like this, what holy and godly lives you should live, 12 looking forward to the day of God and hurrying it along. On that day, he will set the heavens on fire, and the elements will melt away in the flames. 13 But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness.

Hey Zoomer, I've recently became Christian (partly thanks to your videos-thank you) and I am wondering if you can just 'turn up' to church, or you need to sign up and do other things. What should I do?
Yes, you can just turn up, just be careful to go to a church that doesn’t go against the teachings of the Bible since you’re a new convert.

Thanks!

i think that one of the things that St.
This I find to be one of the most important RZ videos, many times I come back to it and see how much some of my friends have this mindset
Hello. I really appreciate your work here. I get a lot out of your perspectives.
I just wanted to point one thing out if I may:
I can’t wait to see your take on the Rapture being unBiblical, but I’ve never heard anyone act like we shouldn’t continue trying to reach the world because we feel the Rapture is close.
I'm agnostic, but I find religion interesting and your videos are very educational, I like watching them. Keep up the good work mate.
Hope you find God someday!

Ironically this is engaging in conspiracy theories on Gnosticism.
Under Calvinist doctrine, God doesn’t reveal who is the elect or not. It’s not our job to know who is elect outside the church. By definition, this falls under the “secret things” talked about in Deut 29:29
Btw, speaking of that passage, is the Bible now gnostic since it talked about secret things that aren’t supposed to be revealed to us?
Bro, please, study about Calvinism before talking about It. Just read the Brief Cathecism of Westminster. What you wrote is just completely wrong, It is not a secret knowledge lol
The Gnostics definitely found some interesting mushrooms in their forest trips
These comparisons are an absurd reduction of Gnosticism, using the term as a mere buzzword. Ridiculous behavior.
I will try to find
Thanks for this video! Now I can appreciate chemistry far more knowing that god created it.
@@vanjstoddart
And the story of Lot in Sodom and Gamorrah!
Hey man, great video, I have a few pionts on this topic:
What do you define as "secret knowledge"?

And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made."

Why are you muslim
Well RZ did say Islam has a common feature with Nestorian Christianity, where the divinity and humanity of Jesus (Isa) is separated into 2 distinct entities. I’ve been told in Islam, Isa did die for our sins on the cross, but is not treated as Allah or the son of Allah.
@@CliffCardi
TL;DR
Some Muslims believe in Original sin + Resurrection, most don't.
Usually read as
"Jesus was either beat to a point where he didn't die, and instead survived regaining the strength to get up just 3 days later, or he escaped and when someone else was falsely crucified he returned. "
could also be read as
"The Romans didn't kill him, He was sacrificed for our sins. He allowed himself to die."
We basically believe the trinity is impossible because in Islam God has a thing called "Sunnah" where he follows specific patterns to make it easier to understand him.

@@matalostodos
I don't really understand what your saying.

Genesis 18:22
Abraham approached him and said, “Will you sweep away both the righteous and the wicked? 24 Suppose you find fifty righteous people living there in the city-will you still sweep it away and not spare it for their sakes? 25 Surely you wouldn’t do such a thing, destroying the righteous along with the wicked. Why, you would be treating the righteous and the wicked exactly the same! Surely you wouldn’t do that! Should not the Judge of all the earth do what is right?”

@@Zakanuva yes. it's an early form of new ageism and and the highest levels they worship Lucifer. Read Albert Pike's morals and Dogma.
@@Zakanuva Don't join it. It has the gnostic traditions of secret knowledge as a baseline, as to advance in rank is to have gained "secret knowledge" and performance of certain rites and rituals. Further, it is open to all who believe in higher powers, which means you could end up with Satan worshipers (Church of Satan for example) as a part of your lodge.
I agree somewhat but you should be careful to not blanket condemn what some would call conspiracy theories, some of which Martin Luther himself pointed out....
Hey zoomer, can u talk about the 7 books of the catholic bible that are not found in the protestant bible. Thanks.
Now do an episode on the transfiguration of Christ and what it means as you probably have a wildly different understanding of it than me as Orthodox.
Not sure it's the right niche but if anyone's interested in traditional Christian history (especially Medieval) I hotly recommend Schwerpunkt's videos series
Dude it annoys me that you said there are no Gnostic cluts around today, what do you think me and the boiz do on Thursday evenings
I want to join that server I think a cool project could be splitting the ocean in two and we can creat a path to the other side and maybe build some chariots and stuff we can leave at the bottom along the path or something.. idk I would love to join this server
I'm sort of up in the air about the Rapture.
I would say better evidence for it than what you say though, is when Jesus says two will be in one bed and one will be taken and the other will be left, and two will be working in the field and one will be taken and the other left.
This is one of the best videos I've ever seen. I've been sucked into the whole conspiracy theory so phenomenon and some of what you're talking about here. So, I need to repent of gnostic beliefs, except the rapture because I've known that's not biblical for some time. Thank you for your hard work and insight. Is there a way I can help you in your efforts to reach mainline churches? My brother and his family goes to one that's woke.
Can you make a video about praying to saints/mary ?
