Why are you helping store owners to over-inflate prices on used video games that were once sold for $20 brand new. That's a very selfish attitude; you're contributing for making good games inaccessible for many just to have a $15 store credit.
Dave is a super nice guy. He always gives away stuff to kids like free Pokémon cards and is willing to give people great deals on games. He actually has a policy that if its your first time in the store you get 10% off your purchase. II certainly wasn't expecting to get anything in return. But I'm going to be honest here, you can call me entitled or whatever, but people that wanted these games should have brought them years ago when they were at their lowest price. The Deadpool game had been on the shelf for like a month, so someone had ample time to buy the game at that price.
I'm also going to be selfish here, but Maxine's bargain box is an awesome store and I don't want to see it go out of business. Which they almost in January/February. It's a great place for the community he has an area of the store that its dedicated to table top gaming and card games, he doesn't charge anything for people to use that space.
I understand that there are a lot of scummy slim bag stores out there, but Maxine's is not tone of them and if I can help them out I will.
Listen here @arioca...NEITHER of us expected anything from Dave. It's a popular game, and now more popular because of the movie. The market is what the market is. Game stores don't have time every single day to check every single price on every single game, it's not feasible. And places like Maxine's don't keep a computerized inventory of games like lamestop does. So before you come on here bashing Chris or me, learn how things work. If I didn't have the game already, I would have bought it for myself for the cheaper price. But I didn't want to resell it because I don't believe in reselling something just because there's stupid hype or FOMO.
Dave is a phenomenal person. He gives my son free action figures Everytime we go in. He takes care of us. He's not someone that we would ever screw over or take advantage of. We take care of him when we can too.
