I worked in the Bellview Garden Hotel in Interlaken and Crebs hotel , also in Interlaken. That was 48 years ago. Interlaken was a stunning and educational location . The view of the North Face of the Eiger was something I have never forgotten. My home is in Canada .

I believe there are so many beautiful places that can be reached easily from Interlaken that many people forget that the most beautiful things are sometimes right in front of the door.
I am so lucky that I was able to stay in this beautiful town 3 days, an unforgettable experience... Its a major tourist spot, so due to the high demand its not very cheap. A money saving tip would be to take only 1 way and hike down, which I am sure is worth the effort. Otherwise the use of a half tax pass is a great way to cut costs by 50%. Though the latter tip is most useful to residents of Switzerland.
